Sterling National Bank

My mother passed and I notified Sterling Bank. I asked them to not allow any debits or credits to her account. They did not do it properly and my mother's account has been debited for medical insurance payments and other items that she obviously no longer required.called the branch and came in several times and they acknowledged they made mistakes put refuse to refund the amounts that were erroneously debited from my mother's account. My mother banked with Astoria Savings for over 40 years. Shameful service. I will be closing this account and would love the refund my mother deserves but they are adamant that there is NOTHING they can do.
