We have been working with broker [redacted] through [redacted] since April on a new construction home loan The mortgage company who was assigned the loan was First Guaranty Mortgage Company Here is our timeline that is being disputed: - May pre-construction meeting with the builder was complete Paperwork turned into lender - June loan not close to closing, request extension of purchase agreement on land - June-July - who knows what happened in terms of progress - End of July - "worse case scenario #1" to close by end of July This did not happen So, we had to take fund that we had set aside to close to purchase the land as the sellers were unable to extend any further We were told that closing was imminent I scheduled some trades for mid August as advised for land prep - Early August - all paperwork completed Appraisal complete and reports are filed - Mid-August - no closing date This was quoted as "worst case scenario #2" to close Thus

My complaint involves a mortgage loan transaction between I and fgmc The loan here is a renovation loan that I was told I have to have a consultant to insure my project runs smoothly How ever, I came to find out that the consultant assigned is possibly related to the contractor and are working together On many occasions, I contacted the then "Draw administrator" Kevin L***, to inform him of what was going onI was instead told that I have nothing to worry about and they have been working with consultant for a long time The consultant and contractor had me pay out of pocket for many items
After I realize that the consultant is for sure a crook and that the lender won't do anything to fix the problem, I decided to fire both the consultant and contractor Weeks later, two people came to inspect the amount of work done by the contractorAfter explaining to them that I had spent out of pocket to fix the house; I was told to send the receipts to Kevin L*** for a refund
My fiance and I decided to purchase a house for about $57,This was our first home purchase and was an FHA insured loanInitially, we put in our offer and HUD accepted it in less than hoursWe had a down payment of $5,(much higher than was needed by the bank) and *** ** *** (the loan originator) was more than willing to work with us Overall, we needed about $52,for the loanThe only issue was that the loan needed to be manually underwrittenThis is where First Guaranty comes inAt first, things seemed to be going very well and our closing date was estimated to be on July 10th, about two weeks earlier than HUD had figuredThen, a week before closing, the underwriter (First Guaranty) tells us that they need more documentationAll right, no big dealThey tell us we need proof of rental history, which we gave them, proof of a payment plan on $5,worth of medical bills, which we did as best we could (the company who handled the medical collections would not of
FGMC via ***.com sold my loan to *** and asked me to pay the first payment to them in early january
So in January 5th, I made the full mortgage payment to *** but they sold my loan to *** and did not forward my full payment
I now have a debt collection letter from *** as my mortgage is short on funds
I have never had any such letter in my life, my credit scores are in the 800+Never missed one single payment on anythingI contacted the customer complaints department (via Liz F*), but she went out of the office and never thought of updating me about the case statusI emailed the general complains email again, and nobody responded
I did freelance work for First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation through their marketing departmentIt took them over three months to pay and last week that I finally received a check, the bank held it because the check wasn't goodAfter all this time and the check is badI'm in a bad situation and I can barely pay my bills and you guys are playing with meCorporate will definitely hear from me, I'm frustrated with your company and tired of waitingNever again!
My husband and I did a refinance (VA) with First Guaranty Mortgage in April We were quoted different dates for our 'next' payment dueThe confusion at that company is unbelievableHad we known their left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing we would not have refinanced I have all three papers with all three dates for payment due datesI would not recommend this company to anyone Joan P***
Two words...deceitful & terrible! I had been conversing with a lender for over a month about obtaining a mortgage using my VA loan for the purchase of a manufactured home I wanted to make sure I had all my ducks in a row; so I made sure to keep a record of all our email conversations about what was offered, what could be approved, minimum required credit scores, etc Once I finally applied, my credit application was denied...and why; because of some late payments! Seriously?!! I met the required score have excellent debt-to-income, etcand actually my score was higher than the required minimum...heck, I was even told they could go down as much as points lower than the required score for an approval! Well, so much for wanting to try and "help" your consumer get into a home!! So much for being "a full service national lender offering mortgage solutions to clients of varying income and credit types...and being founded with the idea that people are more than numbers" (taken directly from their website: http://fgmc.com/)Don't waste your time being misled and treated like just another number!!
1st Guaranty Mortgage is my loaner and they own the servicing company RoundPoint Mortgage who handles the loanI've paid off my mortgage since Oct and I'm still trying to get my original mortgage notes and deed backI've been calling over a dozen times at this point asking for itThey're quick to signup loan and helpful when it comes to getting my payments, but when it comes to me getting my stuff back there are excuses after excusesAt this point I will NEVER RECOMMEND RoundPoint Mortgage or 1st Guaranty Mortgage (the actual loaner)The joy of paying off my mortgage is completely gone because I'm still dealing with this BS of getting my documents since NovemberI WANT MY DOCUMENTS BACK!
I never heeard of this company , I dont pay my mortgage to thiis company; I pay my mortgage to *** ***;

** *** sold to *** ***

In September of 2016, I closed on refinancing my home with First Guaranty MortgageThe process was handled by FGMC employee Catherine Z***The discussion at the onset was that I would have the opportunity to skip one month payment following closingWhen the first payment date was disclosed to me at the time of close, it was contiguous to payments I was already makingI did address this with the closing attorney but the individual explained that I had to speak with FGMC about that concernWhen I followed up with Catherine Z*** regarding the scheduled payment date, she explained that she thought I didn't make a payment prior to closingI explained that I did make all previous paymentsRecords would indicate so as I was refinancing a mortgage with the same servicer and funding companyCatherine Z***'s only response is that there is nothing she can doIn her own admission, via email, this was her errorWhat remains unclear to me is, if the closing calculations/dates were based on
Their representatives did not show up at the closing date (refinancing) TWICE! do I need to say more?

Do not do business with this company They are fraudulent
At the inception of this company completing our loan, there was a clerical error made by them resulting in a huge error in our escrow account showing as negative $15, From that moment on they threatened us for over a year that if we didn't pay that negative amount we would lose our homeIt constantly affected our health, finances and credit for over a yearWe begged for help from the beginning and never missed a paymentThey wanted to triple our payments to cover this amount which we could not afford so eventually they said the only way to correct the negative escrow was to refinance or lose our homeWe agreed and followed their directions exactly at ever step This resulted in us losing over $10,in principal we had already paid down plus additional fees to close for the refinance After that David M*** called & admitted he found the data error which he would have corrected immediately While the problem was then fixed, it did not relieve us of the many, many mo
I was told by the Sr loan mortgage officer Mr Armen M*** in a email that once I agreed to the loan I would skip a month in mortgage payment ($2900) I agreed and when signing the loan docs I was rushed and never informed that I would NOT skip a months payment I called once the new bank called for the payment and seen I got ripped off So I called the first loan mortgage co and they informed me Mr Armen M*** resigned one week after my loan was finalize quit fishy hu do not do business with this company or you might end up short

I was told to contact you if I had any contact with the Business. I was contacted by the head office on Friday, January 23, 2015 with an apology and an agreement to write off the entire debt. I was told that the office manager and the employee who contacted my job would both be reprimanded. I expressed that I would not like to see anyone lose their job; however, this practice is unacceptable and should cease. The manager assured me that this is not common practice and the issue would be handled. I would like to close this complaint.ID # [redacted]

After at least 15 years of using your services and paid several loans out NEVER WITH PAYMENT ISSUES.. I was denied due to my check hours cut for that week. Now correct me if I am wrong, but payment history should have at least been acknowledged, offering a secured loan through SEVERAL TITLES I COULD HAVE PUT UP FOR COLLATERAL. It was a denial because they needed at least 40 hours to show. I am very familiar with debt and challenges faced with collecting FROM SOME. This decision made and the way no other alternative was offered, has lead me to the decision to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY AGAIN. Had no options on loan amount reduction or COLLATERAL beings I have bought boats, campers, cars...etc....was shown no care one way or another after being A LOYAL PAYING CUSTOMER FOR MANY MANY YEARS
