I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me until I receive the check and the money is in my account. I will like to add, due to previous bad experience with the business, I would like to keep the case open until the check is in my hands and the money is in my accountIn the past, the business promise to pay and they never didPlease consider my concern and collaborate with me to resolve this issue
On or about 7/20/2015 Factory Appliance Service provided refrigeration service to [redacted] restaurant. In the process of cleaning the job site water was mistakenly sprinkled onto a 4-6 year old 30" basic flat screen tv. The TV did not shut off after the tech had left so no FYI was told to...
the restaurant Mgr. the Mgr called a few hours later and asked if we had mistakenly sprayed water on the TV. We said yes we did but it was an accident. the mgr then told us the tv has failed and we would have to pay for a new one. Factory Appliance agreed to pay for the tv only after we check the unit to see if water was the reason it failed and we would only pay the the depreciated value of the current unit and not for a brand new unit. the mgr went and bought a $260 unit without allowing factory appliance a chance to investigate the cause of failure. The mgr demanded I pay him $130 for the new one he bought so we disagreed. we have researched the value of similar used tv's and found then to cost no more than $50. The mgr was advised that $50 was the fair price. this where he disagreed. thank you
We will send a check for a total of $75 which we think is fair for a tv that is over 3 years old and full of grease. we still dont know the actual cause of failure which is why we had questions about how it failed.
