Scam Tours
As an attorney I asked Yakov Katz for a contract when I gave my deposit for my tour. Beware insist on one. He was not refunded our money due to to corona virus he said refunds would be based on contract. Am now contacting District Attorney.

Beware!
We went on a Stephen Ambrose tour. The tour itself was satisfactory overall, albeit with several accommodation issues and rushed though certain museums.

However, if you are a married couple, beware. Tour guides over extend their flirtations and sexual conduct with their clients. So much in fact they hound and attempt to groom their targets for relationships well after the tour ends.

This level of conduct & harassment is clearly unacceptable as well as unprofessional. I’ve been told (by their tour guides themselves) this is a culture and has happened with SAT tours ongoing. If a tour guide innocently asks to have your social media or ph contacts, you are being targeted. Expect them to hound you sexually. Beware!

This conduct has cast a very negative cloud over our entire experience.

Yes, a tour guide told me the same thing and talked incessantly about his past conquests from previous tours. Best to find another tour group as there are many good ones out there where you won't feel like you are on match.com.

Review: I recently spent over $6,000 to take the 70th Anniversary D Day tour with this company. It was to be the trip of a lifetime and it was a huge splurge for me. I picked Ambrose Tours because of my respect for historian/author Stephen Ambrose, their reputation with WW2 historical-based tours, and, because we were covering so much ground, for the convenience of leaving the tour details to them. Because of the popularity of the 70th anniversary, I believe that Ambrose Tours overextended themselves and could not deliver the promised first class services and itinerary. They usually handle 2 buses of 40 people on their DDay to the Rhine tours; this year, they booked 9. They did not book hotels in a timely fashion, so instead of the first class accommodations were were promised, we were booked into some horrendous 2 star hotels (I have pictures), and in Normandy, a hotel that was so far from the events of the day, we had to travel two hours to reach the ceremonies. I complained when I got the very late itinerary, less than a month before we were to leave, and was assured the hotels would be top notch. Some were fine, others were horrendous. From the bus that broke down that passengers had to fix, to missing many of the promised sites due to the fact our group was booked into a hotel almost 2 hours from the heart of Normandy, to losing our Ambrose staff member midway through the trip, my luggage being abandoned in the street because no one was overseeing our travel, to the worst of it: I was the only solo female and I was charged an $800 supplement when single men were not, clearly discriminatory. This trip was a terrible disappointment, and a badly mismanaged. I will always cherish the memories of what we did see, but will have to book another trip to Normandy to see the major sites our group did not make it to. How do I know this? When I crossed paths with the tour groups booked in hotels closer to the beaches and key sites, they regaled us with pictures and everything they had done that we did not.Desired Settlement: Originally, I asked Ambrose Tours to come up with a rebate amount that would be fair. They were unwilling to take any responsibility for any of their mishandling, either before or after the tour. When I realized they were not going to do the right thing, I proposed a reasonable solution: that they refund my single supplement and one night in the worst hotel I was forced to stay in. I received a check for $416, with no letter, no explanation as to why they ignored my letter, detailing issues.
