Like many others in the area, avoid parking here, basically it is entrapment, they wait until you go out of the car for 5 minutes then come and clamp you. They just sit there pointing at the sign, it's a cash cow. Even if you use the local shops, that by the way are in front of the parking area, they still clamp you. I will take this further.

The situation was: The weather was cold and windy, approaching this [redacted] my front passenger tire hit something small on Milwaukee street, next to this [redacted]. Parking the car, I decide to go first on the street and see what that was. I went on the street, looked around and came back, this took a few minutes. Coming back I saw someone trying to put a boot on my car. Asking him to stop, he didn't and he started to work faster in my presence, putting his body and legs some how to avoid I to come close. I want to declare that on the time I returned the car was in process of booting and the employee/agent did not finished his mechanical procedure, he did not stop when he see me, even more he started to work fast, then made a paperwork and ask me for $140 fee. This $140 I paid with my credit card on the same time and he took the boot off. He said that I don't have a rights to step out from this parking lot even for that short period of time and pointing some tags. Contacting with someone he said that I'm verbally offensive which is not true.
I just ask, why he do this, why he did not stop when I am present.
According to Municipal Code of Chicago 4-6-230(f)(9) "immediately remove a boot from any motor vehicle, at no charge, if the owner of the motor vehicle returns prior to complete attachment of the boot"
So, I was there, seeing him how he adjust the boot before to put a locker, how he put a locker, seeing him how he put his body and legs to keep me away. He did everything else, but did not follow what Municipal Code of Chicago prescribe.
