Review: Contract to remodel two bathrooms into a bathroom & laundry area was signed on 2/11/2011. Initial renovation went well into 10 weeks he said it would take less than 4 weeks.He did not take out a building permit as required by the town stating it wasn't needed. 5/12 contacted [redacted] regarding loose floor tiles.September 2012 he came out and glued down 3 tiles with liquid nails. Wrong way to fix.11/12 more tiles became loose. He did not come out until 3/13. He said it was probably due to bad thin set. If it was a structural problem, we would have to pay more (not according to his written contract) When the tiles were removed there were only a few screws in the floor (supposed to be 4-6"). Some tiles didn't have any thin set.He would only replace tiles in laundry area. He refused to remove washer/dryer after showing tiles were loose stating it took two hours for him to put in. He measured the space for the appliances incorrectly when initially installed and refused to make the closet smaller. Instead he cut the drip pan to fit under the baseboard. He did not provide an access panel to the water shut off until many attempts to get it done. He did a hack job. I found a building permit wasn't pulled when I went to the assessor's office to change to 2 baths. When I brought it to [redacted]'s attention he lied saying it wasn't needed, only slows the job down.3/17/13 sent an email stating I wanted the building permit pulled and the job completed correctly.Laid floor without contact Building Dept. who needed to inspect plumbing/electrical trying to avoid inspectionReceived an email last week he fell on our property stating he wasn't able to do much (never mentioned fall to my daughter who was home).Today's email says he is out of town for a few days. He put broken pieces of moulding up. He broke the toilet when removing it. We have been without the use of our garage for three weeks. No bathroom vanity installed. No washer/dryer, painting. I would like the work to be completed to our satisfaction by April 17th by [redacted]. I want the work to be inspected and approved by the Town of Wethersfield's Building Department. If [redacted] cannot complete the job in a professional and timely manner, I want to be able to have another licensed contractor complete the job and have it paid for by [redacted]. If this cannot be done, a partial refund.Copy of contract, emails, photos can be submitted if needed

Completed job and it was inspected by Building Department. Work was unprofessional. He took shortcuts to save money and finish in a hurry. We had to keep after him to complete it correctly. He really didn't care The only outstanding complaint is that the water shut off to the washing machine needs to be replaced. [redacted] himself stated it would not hold up to shutting off the water after each use. I asked that it be replaced and thought he was coming back to replace it with one that should have been installed. At this point, I plan on having a plumber replace it and would like to submit the bill to [redacted] for reimbursement.
