Dear [redacted]:The customer brought their edger into our store for service and it was diagnosed to need a new  carburetor. The total repair was estimated to be approximately $160.00, the part costing $95.00 and 1 Hour of labor at...

$55.00. the part was ordered and when it arrived the unit was found to be missing.We offered to the customer a replacement unit with the customer paying the $160 00 value of the repair and us covering the rest of the $349.99 cost of the edger.
The customer stated they did not have a pressing need for the edger and would be okay with a store credit. A total of $190.00 in store credit was offered.
After further communication with the customer we have agreed to charge the customer only the cost of the carburetor ($94.99 + Tax), waiving the labor fee and we will cover the remaining cost of the edger.
The customer called us in the evening on August 21, 2014 to tell us he was going away for two weeks. The customer did not want us to think he was not coming in. 
On August 22, 2014 the edger arrived at the store. We called the customer and his voice mailbox was full and not accepting messages.
