Review: On 11/5/14 we gave the owner $800.00 as a deposit for painting to begin the week of 11/18 and told that the job would take 3 days, Mon-Wed. After being put off many times, we told him that if the job did not start on 1/16/15, we would be cancelling. January 26th, one man took wallpaper off bedroom. January 27th, no workers showed up. January 28th, 2 men came. They did some sanding, however, did not cover my furniture. January 29th, 2 men came, not sure what they did except for some patching and painting around the door knobs on the bedroom doors. January 30th, 2 men showed up but again not sure what they did, no further completion to the job. On Friday evening, January 30th, when I went into the bathroom there was plaster residue on the basin, splashed on the mirror, vanity and medicine cabinet as well as my wash cloth rolled up in a ball. Saturday January 31, we call the owner and got his answering machine, we left a message that we were very dissatisfied, fired them and request the return of $400.00. Received a phone call on February 2nd from the owner that he would come over and inspect the job, we waited for a week before cleaning up the mess as he was a no show. We received an e-mail on February 10th that he would pick up his tools but would not be returning any of our money. From February 10th to March 2nd we tried to come to an agreement with him and finally agreed to $200.00 being returned to us. Our last e-mail to him was March 2nd, for a total of 9 e-mails, and in his return e-mail said that he would come to our house on either March 4th or 5th with the refund and to pick up his ladders. To date, we have not heard from him.Desired Settlement: $200.00 refund as promised.
