I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Response to
the [redacted] Complaint #[redacted]
The first thing
that happened was Ms. [redacted] accused Steamatic of packing items including an
IPAD and a camera that she had specifically set aside and told us not to
pack. She demanded that we find these
items immediately. We had to dispatch a
crew on short notice to go through the boxes that she had stored in the Mobile
Mini on the drive way. After several
hours of looking for the items in all of the boxes the items could not be
found. Then someone found out that the IPAD
had GPS capability and had her activate it.
She had put the items in her car herself and they were found under a
pile of other items. This was her mistake, not ours. The cost of this labor was expensive enough
and it took a lot of haggling to get [redacted] to pay for part of it. The search disrupted our operations and
delayed other jobs.
Ms. [redacted]
demanded that her contents be returned on a Saturday. She said she had put up with more than enough
disruption on her part during the claim.
We asked [redacted] to pay for crew overtime wages for our people to
accomplish this. They refused telling
Ms. [redacted] that they would pay for our hours used at regular rates and that
she could figure it out how to allocate that.
We did most of the work on Saturday, but could not get it
completed. She shut us down an hour
early.
During the
pack back we could not find a bed frame and bed slats were stored on
location. We took out a brand new full
size bedframe from our shop. We offered
to cut slats, but that was not good enough for her. At the same time we could not find the sofa
cushions that had been previously stored on location.
The issues
with the slats and the bed frame continued so we sent out [redacted] with
[redacted] to try to get the bed frame and slats addressed. Seavy also inspected the chest and dresser
that she claimed we had damaged. The
dresser had water damage from her claim and that has been submitted to [redacted]. We had offered to take care of
any nicks, ours or not, to satisfy her.
Ms. [redacted]
claims we lost the cushions for a sofa.
Our pack out crew left them on location.
We have employees that will testify under oath to this. She claims we lost a bunk board for a [redacted] bed. The employees are willing to
testify that there never was one. We
called [redacted] locally and they had no record of her purchasing one of
these.
She claimed
we nicked a statue, the photos that we had taken prior to packing showed it to
have nicks and dings already on it.
We repaired
a picture frame for her that cracked while we had it. She claimed it had a wire hanging
apparatus. We offered to get wire and
hooks and take them out to add, but she refused this.
She
complained that we did not immediately deliver a club chair to her. This chair
was left at our warehouse due to a lack of room on the truck. It was set aside in the warehouse. Her allegation that our employees said that
this happens all the time is wishful thinking on her part. The
chair was returned early that week.
Ms. [redacted]
claims that her mattress was stained while it was in our warehouse. Her mattress was wrapped in heavy 6 mil
plastic at her house and immediately put into a storage vault at our
warehouse. It never was taken out of the
plastic until it was returned to her house.
Despite this, we cleaned the mattress to remove a small yellow stain
just to satisfy her. She has a dog at
her house, but she claims that it does not get on the bed.
Steamatic
has gone far beyond what we ever should have tried to do to make this claim
work. It is now painfully obvious to us that
Ms. [redacted] has tampered with her contents to manipulate the claim. Because of Ms. [redacted]’s allegations
concerning the sofa cushions, we did a vault search of every storage vault at
our facility, one by one, opening them and going through the contents. We found nothing of hers. The supervisor and crew time for this was in
excess of 90 hours which [redacted] would not pay for. This established that the cushions and other
items were not at our facility.
We had
limited access to the contents stored at her house the Saturday that we took
her contents back. She did not cooperate
when our employees needed to look for the bed frame, slats, cushions, etc. During
the pack out we set moving blankets on the garage floor to set furniture on to
protect the bases. We covered the
furniture after that. Ms. [redacted] complained
that since we would put moving blankets on her garage floor we used dirty
moving blankets on her furniture.
The other
vendors on this claim have had similar bad experiences with Ms. [redacted]. Her intent is more than obvious. Steamatic had to hire a lawyer and prepare a
lawsuit to collect the money that we were due.
We have not been paid for the warehouse time that was totally wasted
because of Ms. [redacted].
We have
tried to settle this by doing offering to pay for a bed frame and slats in
addition to the repairs that we did.
Nothing has been good enough to suit her. Her demand for $2,200.00 is an oddly round
number and it is not broken down. The
sofa she claims is useless she was going to give away in the first place. It’s
painfully obvious that she is out for all she can get. She demanded a lot of free stuff from the
general contractor as well and was still not satisfied.
Despite all
of the above Ms. [redacted] continues to defame our company. She has now brought her [redacted] agent
into the process with the intent of damaging us further and costing us even
more money. We will take further legal
action against Ms. [redacted] and any other party involved with her if she
persists in defaming us.
We have tried
to fairly settle this claim. We have
offered and have done more than we ever should have to settle this claim. Ms. [redacted] needs to come back to us with
a reasonable amount.
We are willing to pay Ms. [redacted] $300.00 to settle this. Considering the direct cost of the problems she has caused us I am not willing to offer any more. We have had to stand the labor and administrative cost of a extensive vault search and the disruption of our operations looking for Ms. [redacted]'s computer than was located in her car. [redacted] only paid for part of that.
Considering that nothing we have done to make this claim work or end I am convinced that Ms. [redacted] will never be satisfied with much of any settlement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My rebuttal is and will continue to be, my furniture was packed and stored by them.
I had missing items and they are still missing.
I am not "out to get anything I can" I want my property, furniture that was packed and stored by them returned or compensated.
Regards,
To whom it may concern:
We initiated legal action against Ms. [redacted] last week. [redacted] with the [redacted] law firm is handling this. She has been issued two checks from [redacted] Insurance for a total of $4,500.35 in payment for our services. We are suing her...
for that amount plus interest and late fees. The possibility exists that the complaint will be expanded to insurance fraud.
