What ever is wrong with the breaks it happens when ever it wants it did it again on may 1st and he asked was it raining and that's why the breaks was skipping like that also made me take my GPS system out for $and ship it out to get fixed and they said it's not fixable so no radio or system function to the vehiclehe told me he fixed the breaks the day I got it so he knew something was wrong with it and also knew that radio/ GPS system that cost $was broke and can't find a new one to replace itit's a piece of junk that he put together and sold it to meI'm paying for a car that I can't drive when the breaks feel like giving out when it wants and no radio or system to program what I need to do for the carI think the navigation system has something with the sensitivity with the break systemwhen I took it to the place to get fixed he couldn't do anything because the car wasn't acting up at the momentit is unsafe to drive when the breaks give out but it's not everyday so it's hard for the guy to catch the problem
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. He sent us the check in the mail but avoided all contact with us -- didn't answer any of our calls. So, you can make an
addendum to the complaint but I would want future customers to be forewarned of his shady business practices and terrible communication. Thanks so much and I'm VERY relieved that he did send us the check

In response to the the complaint, we’re sorry you reported you had an issue with the car. That was actually a car we put a lot of miles on test driving before you decided to purchase it and we loved it. Everything functioned as designed and it never gave us any issues. You contacted us right before...
you wrote this complaint and we responded by saying we gave you a 3 month / 3,000 mile warranty on a car that NY State says we only need to give an “Implied Warranty”. We recommended to you to bring it to one of the repair shops we use to see if they can diagnose the problem. [redacted]We also told you that if you think it’s unsafe to drive we will call for a tow to bring your car to the repair shop and we will pay for the tow.[redacted]After speaking with the repair shop owner later that day, he told me you drove it there even though you said the brakes were unsafe to drive.[redacted] He then said you drove away with it, because he didn’t have time to work on it on the spot. When you purchase a USED car there are no refunds, and there is no “cool off” period. When you sign the purchase agreement you take full responsibility for that vehicle. The best we can do is get our cars NYS inspected and give you a full warranty that goes above and beyond the other dealerships. You always have the choice to upgrade the warranty up to 48 months/Unlimited miles also if you wanted to.The last we heard from you is you love the car and are still driving it 2 months later and we are helping you fix the
In regards to the complaint, if the customer is having issues with the car they bought, we the dealer, personally paid for an extended warranty for the customer through a 3rd party company that covers the vehicle up to 3,000 miles / 3 months. They can take it to any mechanic shop they would like to if they are having issues with the brakes. We never did anything to the brakes before they purchased the car. They were looked over and passed NYS inspection. We DO NOT appreciate the false allegations that we tampered with them in any which way. Each car we sell goes to a separate repair shop that we trust, they look it over and are responsible for getting the vehicle to pass NY state safety and emissions inspection. We drove that car for a lot of miles before the customer came to purchase it and we never had any issues with the car. If there is an issue with the brakes, the customer can take it to a repair shop and have them put it up on a lift. We have referred them to (2) repair shops already and have scheduled a complimentary tow because the customer stated it was too “unsafe” to drive and they drove the car themselves to the repair shop anyway. As far as the radio is concerned, we have reached a final agreement where we said originally we would pay for half of the cost to get the radio fixed, up to $300, and we would send it out. The radio was deemed unrepairable after we covered the $70 cost to ship it out and bench test it. The customer agreed to having us give them a $300 check to fix the radio or buy a new radio themselves. At the last interaction with the customer on April 18th when they came to pickup the check they were happy to go to the [redacted] dealership and have the car diagnosed with the warranty we purchased for them through a 3rd party company, when they first originally purchased the car. This is in regards to a complaint filed by [redacted] about an ’06 Cadillac CTS bought on 10/19/15 with 148,198 for mileage at the time of sale. We received a phone call about the issue on 11/21/15. In response to the customer, the used vehicle was out of the warranty period. The customer was full aware of the limited warranty. The customer signed, received, and was aware of the New York State Dealer Used Passenger Vehicle Warranty paperwork. We, the dealer advised, like we do on all the cars that we sell, to purchase an extended warranty contract for this luxury, higher mileage sedan, so in instances like these the customer would be covered. At the time of sale the customer and her boyfriend said they will go with the $39.99/month extended warranty plan, which is the most affordable plan we sell, but said they did not want to sign up or pay for it yet. They came back 2 weeks later to pay the reminder of their deferred down payment and we, the dealer, again suggested to go with the $39.99/month plan before the 30 days went by after the time of sale otherwise the extended warranty company would not issue the warranty. The customer AGAIN declined. New York State Dealer Used Passenger Vehicle Warranty stops at 100,000 miles. After that it becomes an “Implied Warranty” which means it’s implied the vehicle is fine to drive, basically it is one step better than "As-Is”. At Steadfast Auto Sales LLC. we offer any car above the 100k mile mark the same warranty as if it had 80k-100k miles, which is a basic powertrain warranty for 30 days or 1,000 miles whichever comes first and is written in accordance to the New York State Dealer Used Passenger Vehicle Warranty. We also offer the option of going with one of our 4 extended warranty companies for warranties up to 48 months/48,000 miles of coverage. So in conclustion: #1 The customer bought a vehicle over 100k miles which NYS law only offers an “Implied Warranty” for. #2 The customer declined numerous times the extended warranty contract. #3 The customer had the issue happen over 30 days/1,000 miles of the complimentary dealer powertrain warranty. We sell fantastic used cars, but like any business that sells used cars, we cannot guarantee a USED product, because we did not make it or know exactly how the previous owner treated it, that is why we do highly encourage purchasing an extended vehicle warranty with any used vehicle due to any unforeseen circumstances that might occur with a “used” product. WHAT WE DO GUARANTEE is a proper dealer inspection, NYS Inspection, and a warranty with each product because we are confident in the vehicles we sell!
