To Whom It May Concern:May of was contacted by this customer inquiring about getting their pool paintedDuring our phone conversation we Set up a visit to review the pool, provide an assessment and price to paint it.When we met, the customer was provided with the following:Price to paint the pool with one (1) coat of rubber based paintScope of what would be done to prep the pool before it's painted and how it's paintedAdvised customer that the pool paint quality is not as good as it used to be in the past due to lots of VOC's is now beingtaken out of the paint by the manufactureIn addition, stated that based on my experience the paint doesn't last as long as it used to and it may not hold upRecommended lighter color blue paintIn my 26-year professional experience- the darker the paint the more issues may occur in regard to bubbling and blisteringRecommended to have all existing paint on the pool water blasted and then to have the pool finished with plasterProvided estimate for labor and material.The customer was not ready to Commit at that time of visit due to the cost being higher than expected but few days after our meeting I was contacted and hired to paint the poolHowever, Several of my recommendation has not been taken into consideration:Customer requester a darker paint even though I recommended a lighter oneCustomer rejected my suggestion to have the pool finished with plasterIn early June 2016, once the weather started to cooperate I began the process of painting her pool as discussed.On June 9th completed the work and received payment in the amount of $2000.On June 10th customer contacted with concerns that the paint had bubbled through the entire poolI stated that I would fix the problem and proactively contacted the manufacture for the paint I have usedThe company representative recommended to Scrape the bubbles off, Sweep up the surface and to repaint the poolI completed such on June 13th at no additional cost.On June 17th reached out to the customer via text message asking if everything has been completed to their satisfactionThe customer responded: "YOU ROCK"I was glad to hear that the customer was pleased!Unfortunately, later on I began getting numerous texts from the customeras well as phone calls from the customer's spouse stating that I need to come back and perform additional tasks that were never agreed upon.Finally, on July 11th close to midnight I have received several threatening phone calls including a voice mail that made me fear for my safety (can be provided upon request) at which point stopped all communication with this Customer.I have been in the pool business for over years and I have owned my pool company since Over the years I have painted thousands of pools, just in over twenty (20) with no complaintsThis is my first complaint throughout my careerI take pride in what I do and have always worked with my customers to make sure they are satisfied with my workmanship.Respectively,William S***
