The issue of no heat in his establishment is an on going problem every year*** had called us in last year for the same problem of no heat and we fixed the problemThis year aside from cleaning the strainer he had other issues that controlled the heat which we fixed and he refused to pay for
The system is controlled by boiler water flow which is filled with rustThe strainer gets clogged every year and is clean out once a yearIs it possible my technician did not clean out the strainer a second time and took it for granted it was cleaned yes its possibleWe tried to do the right thing with *** and obviously if he was not happy with us the first time he would have not called us backI tried to settle with *** on just paying for the parts but he didn't want to pay for anything and was not willing to come to an agreementTherefore I credited the account and wrote off the loss
Review: Statewide Oil was called in by my establishment to repair the heating issue for the restaurant. The first visit they said it was a problem with our thermostat and billed us $200(which we immediately paid). We called the next day to let them know that there was still no significant heat in the restaurant (which resulted in loss of business) and they came in, and without notifying us what the issue was or giving us an estimate, did some work on the circuit(i later learned) and sent us an invoice for $1000 and there was still no heat at this point. We therefore bought a few heaters to try to alleviate the low heat in the restaurant but to no avail. On the third call, they came in and again did work without an estimate and sent me a bill for $544(they said they had "supplied and installed a new relay") and still there was no resolution to the heating issue. Finally, I asked some plumbers if they could take a look at it on 1/**/15 (over a month after the initial service call to Statewide). They took a look at the boiler and said that the strainer had been clogged. Once they unclogged the strainer, there was a steady and strong stream of heat to the restaurant and has been since that day. Even they were amazed at the two invoices that we showed them. I contacted Statewide after this and they did not accept that the issue had been resolved and refused to reconsider and adjust the $1544 that they claimed we owe them even though they never got around to fixing the issue for us. Any and all assistance is appreciated.
Thank you,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: Reconsider or at the very least adjust the two invoices.

Response:
The issue of no heat in his establishment is an on going problem every year. [redacted] had called us in last year for the same problem of no heat and we fixed the problem. This year aside from cleaning the strainer he had other issues that controlled the heat which we fixed and he refused to pay for. The system is controlled by boiler water flow which is filled with rust. The strainer gets clogged every year and is clean out once a year. Is it possible my technician did not clean out the strainer a second time and took it for granted it was cleaned yes its possible. We tried to do the right thing with [redacted] and obviously if he was not happy with us the first time he would have not called us back. I tried to settle with [redacted] on just paying for the parts but he didn't want to pay for anything and was not willing to come to an agreement. Therefore I credited the account and wrote off the loss.
