Review: On 7/21/13, we contracted State-Moving Company to move our belongings. We signed a contract with Isaac from State-Moving and made our payment to the owner of the company, [redacted]. A few hours after they finished, we received a call from the lead mover, Isaac, that they still had two of our boxes in their possession. They said they would drop them off at our home later on in the evening, but they did not come. Two days later, we called Isaac back and asked about the whereabouts of our boxes. He said he was too busy to deliver them but we could come pick them up that evening. He said he would call when he was back at the office for us to come. He did not call. This cycle continued again and againverbal and written communication (via text), confirming that they had our boxes and had specifically marked them so they were easily identifiable, but never giving us the address where we could retrieve our boxes. Each time we spoke to [redacted], he said he would call us later or text us the address, but he never did. After 3 weeks, we contacted [redacted] at State-Moving, [redacted] manager/supervisor. [redacted] informed us that they had accidentally delivered our boxes to another customers home, but that those customers had notified State-Moving that they had two boxes delivered that were not their own. [redacted] confirmed that they were in the process of picking our boxes up from the other customers. A few days later, we received a call from [redacted] saying that the customers stated that they no longer had the boxes, and State-Moving did not have them in their possession either. At this point, we explained how valuable the items in those boxes wereover $3k worth of high-end watches, collectible items, designer heels, etc. He asked us to collect receipts for the items, which we did and emailed them to Johns attention at State-Moving. From then on, we have called, texted and emailed over a dozen times with no response from State-Moving. Though their website says they are licensed and insured, the company will not supply their insurance. We have looked up their company name on the Secretary of State business license search, but it returned no results.Desired Settlement: We would like State-Moving's business license and registered address, name of the principals, and insurance information so that we can move forward with our claim for our lost/stolen items. The company will not answer our calls or emails, and there is no moving company actually located at the address listed on Yelp.
