Review: My son's motorcycle was impounded on 8/22/15. It had a 30 day police hold on it. I have a power of attorney for my son's financial matters. I contacted State Auto Repair and spoke to a man who said his name was [redacted] and he was the owner. He asked me what I wanted to do with the bike and I said sell it. He said, "I'll buy it and forgive the storage fees". We agreed on the $2,000 I wanted and shook hands. He said not to "worry about the release date or date the bike was available for sale."He said to get the pink slip and return. I finally was able to get a release of interest from my son's insurance co since he bought it back as salvage. I went back to finalize the transaction and he said that he had not been able to get to the bank for my money and to come back. I took the forms to him the next day and he said that my power of attorney was no longer good. I went to the DMV and the lady there said that he was looking at the notary stamp and the power of attorney was legal. I took the forms back to him the next day and he said that the time had expired and he now owned the bike. He told me to get out of his business or he would beat me up but he wouldn't because I was an old man. I called the business and told him to meet me in front of the police station with my money or I was filing a claim with the Revdex.com and the district attorney. Nothing was ever resolved. His mother also works at the business and was party to the fraud, hearing everything that was said and covering for him when I would call or go to the business, telling me [redacted] was not there. [redacted] also handed me his card but I could never reach him at that number.Desired Settlement: I would like the $2,000 that was promised to me when I completed my portion of the agreement by getting the pink slip or an equal to it.
