Applied for a debt consolidation, got approved for $30,000. To secure the loan, I had to either get a good credit co-signer, put up collateral worth the equivalent of the loan, or the 3rd option, pay the loan insurance. I chose option 3, pay the loan insurance. I sent $1700 through secure banking, however the insurance was $2900, I sent the additional $1200 to to Startwell Financial Group for the loan insurance. $2900 total. Contracts were signed through docusign, which is a legit, secure digital document signing. The loan amount of $30,000 was to be released and cleared through my bank within 1-2 hours. It never came, and after over 35-40 calls to the office over a 3-4 day period, they've refused to answer my calls.
