Stars Recruiting & Consulting

I received an email from someone *** telling me they had been interviewed for a position at my company by an agency called Stars Recruiting and Consulting in Toronto and had received a subsequent email from them with a job offer. He was emailing me to ensure that this was a legitimate offer before paying Stars the $3500 they were requesting to process his paperwork. He was told that he would be on their payroll, but working for ***. I've never heard of Stars Recruiting and Consulting and I have definitely never hired them to recruit on our behalf. It is very concerning that people are being offered jobs that may or may not exist, but are definitely not legitimate offers.
