I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from them at all. I purchased a car on 7/12/19 and I'm having to get repairs done. Today is 7/17/19.
Mrs., I've tried reaching back out to you this evening. I'm not sure what happened between you coming into today and this review. We truly felt we were helping you. Never did a check engine light come on nor was one on when you brought this vehicle to our lot just a few hours ago. Per the Mechanic, who thoroughly checked the vehicle stated that the EVAP Gas Cap light was on. That was and is not covered on the free limited warranty that was sold with the purchase of your 2008 Honda Accord. Additionally the *** Service Contract that was offered during the transaction of your car, you declined.
The Free Limited Warranty that you received was Motor & Transmission Only, 5 days or 500 miles whichever comes first, It's NOT a Bumper to Bumper Warranty it is a 11 year old car. You reached out to us on day 4 of the limited warranty with your main concern being of the transmission, you did mention the gas cap light but you stated that wasn't a big deal because you had faced that issue on a current vehicle and you knew it wasn't a big deal or big expense. We agreed to a time to have you come down for inspection and you were over an hour late as our time and all involved is very valuable and we never suggested rescheduling so we could rest your concerns immediately. Inspection proved your transmission was in proper working order. Again never was an Engine light on before you left nor was it on when you brought it back 4 days later in our presence or the mechanics. Your claim was it came on after you returned home that evening. We reached out with hopes to resolve this issue and Mrs *** final statement was it is her right as a customer for her to not recommend our dealership and move forward. It is our commitment to operate with Integrity and we feel we have met and will continue to meet Mrs. with the upmost respect in our future commitments as Starmount Motors LLC has served our community and surrounding area since 1975 with thousands of satisfied customers which is proven by our A rating with the Revdex.com since 2008. Starmount Motors, LLC chooses to take the same posture in this matter as Mrs *** and put it behind us.

Customer purchased this vehicle through a retail installment contract on 2/24/17 with the payment of $385 and due date of the 24th of each month with the first payment of $385 due 3/24/17.
Customer did not come in to make the payment on 3/24/17. We had to wait 10 days. On day 11 with no payment, we sent the customer, by certified mail, the 21 day right to cure letter, which is required by the state of South Carolina, on 4/4/17. We are required by state law to send this 21 day right to cure letter only once.
Customer had a friend to come in to make the payment on 4/6/17 which was 13 days late. Customer, herself, came in 4/7/17 to pay the late fee. The customer was then instructed late payments are unacceptable and their payment for 4/24/17 was due 4/24/17 and could not be late.
Customer has a friend to come in 5/5/17 and only paid $200. I explained the total payment of $385 was due and to have the customer contact us about the urgency to pay the remainder of the payment.
We called the customer daily from 5/6/17 to 5/20/17, leaving messages each time regarding this matter, with no return phone calls. On 5/24/17, customer was officially a half month behind for 4/24/17, plus the 5/24/17.
With no return calls from the customer, the owner had the vehicle repossessed on 5/26/17, which was well within his rights. We sent out, by certified mail, the 10 day right to sale, as required by South Carolina state law.
Customer called on 5/26/17 wanting to make a payment. We explained that due to the delinquency of the account we would need to collect the remaining balance of the account, which was $5,352.94, plus the repossession fee of $1,000.
