The customer's vehicle was brought in for a power steering leak, although the customer had already replaced the power steering pump. At...
no time did the customer discuss the power steering hose, only that it was not holding fluid. The request was to find and repair a leaking power steering system. This involves a certain amount of diagnostics on the entire system to assess the problem correctly, including cleaning within and under the engine compartment to remove excess fluid so that the source of the leak could be determined. The hose that we found to be leaking was leaking so profoundly that further examination of the system was required after the replacement of the hose to make sure that there was no other leak. Again, our mission was to cure the problem, and it is our goal always to meet that challenge. Diagnostics charges are included on all jobs that require assessment, and there is a sign posted in our lobby to that effect.
The customer was advised that the part was not available until Monday. Although we do everything we can to get vehicles in and out quickly, we are not in control of the availability or delivery of parts.
The customer was called to inform them of the diagnosis, the time to delivery, and the total cost, which included the diagnostic charge. The customer approved the repair and the cost, allowing the repair to move forward. The part arrived at approximately 3 pm on Monday, 6/20, and the job was finished, as promised, for the amount quoted, by 5 pm that day. We priced the job, the customer approved the job, we completed the job exactly as communicated to the customer. The customer did not voice any problems until they came to collect the vehicle, and complained about the price they had been quoted at that time.
While we strive to be competitive on the price of our services, we do not base our price on what other shops charge. However, when we do the work of determining exactly what the repair requires, locating and acquiring the necessary components, employing, training and retaining high quality technicians to perform that repair, and providing a 3 year, 36,000 mile nationwide warranty, we must cover the costs of doing business and staying in business so that we can provide such a warranty.
Therefore, AutoGo respectfully declines the customer's request for refund.

Review: I was quoted a price of $27 for service. When the service was almost complete I was told I needed to pay $40. [redacted], the manager said that if I didn't pay the $40 she would cut my nails off. I told her that I would only pay $27. She said I couldn't leave until I paid $40 and she locked the door and told me to sit while brandishing the nail clippers. She stepped towards me with the clippers. I told her not to touch me. She said she would call the police and I told her to call them. She screamed at me asking if I wanted the service for free, I told her no but I would only pay $27. I then screamed at her to call the police, so they could come and resolve this problem. She said no. Then she agreed to accept the $27. I have never in my life been threatened like that. I asked how much the service would cost. [redacted] said that the girl didn't know the correct price, even though she turned around to ask [redacted] how much it would cost. I told [redacted] that if there were any additional prices, that she should have said so. Then I could have decided if I wanted to pay the additional fees. I do not have tips on, so she wanted to cut my natural nails off. I have gone to this nail salon off and on for the last 6 years. I have watched how they treat there customers and I've witnessed how they treat Black people and it is not same. We are not offered something to drink when we arrive. They also use a razor to remove the skin on the foot and I think that there is a law against that.Desired Settlement: I would have liked not to be threatened and locked in because of a mistake made by them.
