[redacted] bought a twin mattress for $249.00 on 10/22/2015.  This was a mattress only purchase, she did not want the box spring that goes with it.  (typically, this voids a warranty when not used together).  They picked up the mattress and took it with them upon purchasing this...

On 2/9/16, I received a call from [redacted].  She told me that the mattress was bad and needed to return it for credit towards a new one.   I explained what needs to be done for warranty to be valid.  I needed a photo showing the bed with a "dip" in the top of two inches or more.  They sent me photos of the top that was 3/4"-1" dip and not near the two inches required for warranty exchanges.  (Just as the mattress manufacturer's require).  When I received the photos via email, they were not close enough to be submitted for warranty claims.  I also mentioned that the angle which these photos were taken were not done properly and that this mattress may not qualify because it is not clearly 2" dip in it.  The bed was only 3 1/2 months old, and looked good with little dip in it.  When [redacted] called back and I told her that the photos were not good enough to show the dip, they said that they would bring it in for me to look at.  That never happened.  [redacted] called me the next day and tore into me like I was the one who made the mattress.  I told her that we would do everything we could do to protect her and the warranty of this bed.  Here language started getting bad and she started letting me know that she was very upset with me.  She then proceeded to let me know that she wanted to trade it in for a full size mattress with a "low profile" box spring.  These are items that we do not stock.  We would need to order them.  They never returned the bed to us for inspections.
 
I mentioned to her that this bed was typically sold to children and that we sell this bed to kids mainly because adults usually want more comfort than this bed offers.  She turned that into us "selling her a kids bed". 
We are a very reputable Furniture Retailer with 40 years of experience in Furniture, I have done this my whole life.
We will honor all warranties as they are written and stand by the products which we sell.  The price paid for this mattress was $249.00  Copy of the receipt will be provided if needed.

A representative at Star Furniture called me on Friday, August 07,2015 and scheduled an appointment to have the final piece of furniture delivered. Star Furniture delivered the final piece this afternoon, August 11,2015. So far, I am very happy with the furniture, but I am still not happy with the store and I don't think that I will be shopping there again.

Review: I bought furniture on laway in 2007. I kept bringing a deposit for a bed set. I paid in fullin the amount of $899.99 and they never delivered my bed set (which included headboard, rails, footboard, orthopedic mattress and foundation). The amount was 899.99 and it was paid in full. I went several times to the store and they always had excuses. They I went back one day and the secretary by the name of [redacted] said that they were new owners and the previous owner sold the business. I also put deposit on a 5 drawer chest with with mirror and nite stand. The amount was for $900.00 and I owed 600. I paid $300.00.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money that is owed to me. I am filing this complaint on behalf of my Mom. My name is [redacted] and my phone number is the one listed on the complaint. When you do call, can you please have someone that speaks Spanish.
