Dear *** ***,Thank you for your quick response.I was contacted by STAR AUTO MALL this morning and MrJerry S*** offered to settle the problem by reimbursing me $12,500.I have spent 0ver $on the truck and over hours of labor trying to clean it up. So, very reluctantly, I
accepted their offer, returned the truck to them this afternoon and received a check for $12,500.One of their mechanics removed the new radio that I had installed and gave it back to meI had left the old radio in the truck. MrS*** tried, unsuccessfully, to persuade me that it was not their fault and that "sometimes it happens".I want to warn all prospective customers of this establishment to be very aware! It is certain that, were it not for your involvement I would be in trouble.Thank you again for you assistance , I appreciate all your help. *** ***

The customer has received his registration, prior to the expiration of his temporary. All is satisfactory now.Scott A***Director of Operations

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Paragraph - It is illegal for a dealer to sell a car without having the Title as I was informed by PENNDOT - therefore they missed the day legal requirement due to what extenuating circumstances? Tina, the owner of the dealership informed me that they were in possession of the Title, otherwise they could not and would not have sold me the car. Paragraph - The $fee was NOT due because of an expired plateIt does not expire until February, 2018, which is why we did a simple transfer in the first placeThe dealership neglected to pay the $transfer feecausing additional significant delaysPeriod. To this date, I still do not have the registration, however Senator Lisa Boscola is now involved and working in parallel with my attorney and ***'s.My attorney believes that those two points are actionableThis is a customer service failure on multiple levels that could have been avoided from day oneThey simply could have provided me with a duplicate out of the gate, unless of course they did NOT have the title at the time of sale, which is illegal to doThey were to provide me with a duplicate within a few days and then consequently ignored my requests and then began to pass the buck and blame on each other until I contacted PENNDOT, ***'s Auto Tags and my attorney.I contend that the dealership should not have profited from my two trades (*** * and *** ***) and my purchase of the *** *All of the profit should be returned to meWe are now out $5K and counting

*** ***

While the majority of his letter is factual, there were extenuating circumstances which prohibited us from getting the documentation to the State. The day limitation is true, however, it is not uncommon for many dealers to miss the deadlineProsecution is extremely rare as the titling processes
from various sources do not also provide necessary information and documentations to submit in the daysTitles, as an example, if purchased from an Auto Auction, can take up to days to receiveThe State is aware of these conditions and tolerant of them.Temporary registration are good for days, which gives dealers and the State ample time to get the registration cards to the purchasers.Apparently, *** does not accept temporary registrations from their driversin fact *** *** said he sent them an illegible copy because it was pinkWe, in turn, reproduced a white copy for himIt is then he realized they would not accept ANY temporary registration. The $unpaid fee was due to his plate expiring, potentially, within the period that the State determined it needed to be renewed as well, hence the return from them.*** *** insisted and demanded all of the paperwork when it was returned from the State so that ***'s could take care of it for himAttached is a copy of a letter he signed which clearly shows that he has the title and he accepted responsibility, so he needs to take care of the lender, Members 1st.The offer we gave him was meant to be a goodwill gesture and show our appreciation for him purchasing his third vehicle from us and his income loss, for which we are not responsibleIt's his employers choice not to accept the registration he got at delivery, which is acceptable to any police, bank, dealer or numerous other government agencies.Perhaps he should request his employer for his loss, since they seem to be the only ones who wouldn't accept it

As previously stated, we have, sincerely, apologized for the inconveniences this has caused our customer and have attempted to bring some satisfaction to himDespite our best efforts they, obviously, have not been satisfactory to the consumer, and it seems apparent that he is seeking satisfaction through various other avenuesWe thank the Revdex.com for all they do and trust the vehicle he purchased gives him many years of service

03/11/2017Dear *** ***,We are in receipt of the letter to the Revdex.com from *** ***, dated 311/*** *** has indicated that the motor, in the vehicle, is not the original motor that was in the vehicle from the factory. We, apparently traded the vehicleWe then serviced the vehicle at our
other dealership, *** *** ***, in Allentown, PaThe servicing we performed, was prior to *** *** purchasing the vehicleThe service we performed was on 28/At that time, we did a Pa, State inspection, Pa, Emission inspection, replaced the front and rear brake pads and rotors, oil change, air filter, replaced a valve cover gasket, new sparkplugs, replaced ignition coils and replaced a low beam headlight bulb.At no time, while the vehicle was in our possession, did we change the engineThere is no knowledge on our part, that the engine was changed prior to our trading the vehicle or if it was changed after it we sold itAs part of our servicing of all the vehicles we sell, it is not a practice to check the vehicle identification number(VIN) on the engine block to see if it matches the body VIN.We cannot address why the computer is not "reading" it, as we are unsure if she means the vehicles computer or the repair shops computerAny vehicle that is equipped with a computer, cannot run without it being "read".Since the vehicle passed PaState inspection at our repair facility in 2/16, there should be no reason it would not pass a year later unless there was a required item that did not meet the PaState requirements, which would mostly consist of "wear and tear items (tires,ights,brakes,emissions,etc.).We are also unsure of the loss *** *** claims, of $We Would be happy to assist har in evaluating the vehicle and guiding har for remediatlon. If we can be of further assistance or you require additional information, please contact us.Thank you.Scott ADirector of Operations
