I purchased 4 packages of cottonelle online at staples.ca for in-store pick-up. Upon arriving at the store I was told that customers were being limited to 2 packages. I was charged for 4, however and I stated this. Staff denied this and even said it was "impossible" as charges supposedly only appear after I pick up my purchase. I viewed my credit card statement and then contacted the store via telephone twice and was told I would be refunded. I was not. I called a 3rd time and the manager stated that Staples.ca was responsible and all inquiries should be directed there. Upon contacting them via the web (the only service they provide at present), they simply responded with an invoice stating charges for 2 packages. I have 100% proof to the contrary and they still won't refund my money for packages I was charged for and did not receive. I will now notify my credit card of the fraudulent charge. Staples staff have been extremely unhelpful and continue to give me the run around when all I have asked for is my money that they overcharged me. I have been polite and cordial this entire time, even when I was met with rude, dismissive staff. I simply want my refund and I will absolutely will not purchase anything from Staples online or in store, again.

We appreciate and welcome any and all feedback, and take it very seriously, as this is the only way we can continue to perfect our service levels. We have corrected the issue with our limits online to match those being followed in our stores. All online purchases begin with a hold on the customer's credit card and not an actual charge, and that is what this customer would have been seen for the initial transaction. This was later corrected to reflect only being charged for the quantity she actually received. Our General Manager has sent a letter and a Gift Card to this customer to make up for any inconvenience she experienced, and we have invited her back to allow us the opportunity to give her the service level we pride ourselves on. We sincerely hope to see her again as her business is very important to us!
