Review: Stanley Steamer cleaned 2 couches, the machine leaked a fluid & created a basket ball size spot on my Oriental rug in front of the sofa"s. The company took the Oriental to their facility to trove the spot. When it was returned the spot they worked on was completely bleached out. I have a pix. Sent the rug back, delivered again. Retuned to me with the same problem. Co. took the rug back & returned it this time a much darker color, looks ike it was dyed. Returned the rug again. No one at Stanley Steamer will talk to me. This has been going on since Oct. 19th. It's clear that they need to replace my rug, I have notified them in writing with he amount of the rug. We seem to be at a standoff. I need help with this issue.Desired Settlement: The company ruined my Oriental rug, they need to replace it.

Re: Case# [redacted]
Dear Ms. [redacted],
We are in receipt of your correspondence from November 13,
2015 involving our customer Mrs. [redacted] in regards to her area rug.
We have been communicating with Mrs. [redacted] since October
20, 2015 regarding her area rug. We
picked up her rug on October 20, 2015 in response to her concern about a spot
we left on the rug. We returned the rug
to her on October 26, 2015. She was still
unhappy at this time because she claims that when we cleaned the spot, that
area looked lighter. I spoke with Mrs.
[redacted] and let her know we would re clean the entire rug. She was concerned that our process had
bleached her rug. I assured her that our
process does not remove any color.
After we cleaned the entire rug, the lighter section was fixed. When we returned the rug on November 10, 2015,
she refused to accept it. She
claims that we “Dyed” the rug to fix the lighter section. I explained to her that we did not do
so. I have had numerous emails with Mrs.
[redacted] regarding the issue. Currently I
have had the rug inspected by a third party inspector who is well qualified
within the Area Rug Industry.
Mrs. [redacted] believes we should replace her rug, which is
currently available at a local retailer for $6800.00. I have informed Mrs. [redacted] that we do not
believe there is anything wrong with her rug, and that we will not agree to do
so. I have been informed that Mrs.
[redacted] intends to file in Small Claims Court.
I have documentation supporting the fact that her rug has not been dyed,
and that there is nothing about the current condition of her rug, that may have
been caused by our cleaning. I am
currently scheduled to return the rug to Mrs. [redacted] on Friday, December 4,
2015.
Sincerely,
Operations Manager.

Regards,
Recently we hire Stanley Steemer of San Diego to clean our bedroom carpet. After it dried, there were patches of discolored carpeting. When I tried to contact the manager, he did not return my calls in a timely manner. Finally, I got through to him. He refused to do anything other than return my money for the cleaning. We are left with a ruined carpet.
