Standish Salon Goods Reviews (%countItem)

After 2 1/2 weeks of 10 hair stations installed, a month after ordering, the paint is already chipping off. Contacted business, will not return calls.
Standish Salon
10- *** Salon Tower Station in Black
Placed order: Nov. 23, 2018
Payment amount: $4400.00
Received order: December 3,2018
Installed stations: Dec 10, 2018
Called and reported they were already getting damage and emailed pics of damage: Dec 27, 2018 Spoke to a woman who said that they were aware the stations were defective and had switched manufacturers because of it. So basically, they knowingly sold me defective merchandise. She told me she would speak to the person in charge and call me back. I never heard from her.
Called and left and message: Jan 7, 2019
Text the number they have on their website: Jan 8, 2019 Called and left a message at the number listed as a contact on the Revdex.com website Jan 8, 2019.

Desired Outcome

I would like replacement with non defective stations OR a partial refund of at least half of my money since these stations will not last as long as they should.

Standish Salon Goods Response • Feb 06, 2019

We do understand that furnishing a salon is a very difficult process to manage between vendors and contractors and regret if Ms *** had anything less than a perfect experience with Standish.

After personally reviewing Ms ***'s complaints, I'd like to invite an additional conversation with our Marketing and Sales Director and possibly our Product Designer to better understand the circumstances leading up to this situation and find a mutually-agreeable solution.

At first examination of the original 3 images, our product designer insists that the cracks presented in the photos are due to being hit with a curling iron or other tool, not due to defect, as they could only be caused by direct contact with another heavy item. These marks do not appear to be caused by simple chipping without blunt force. This is not a defect that we have experienced with the thousands of other similar units sold to other clients.

I am open to hearing more about the additional information received on this claim on Feb 3, 2019 regarding possible heat damage. Our cabinets (and specifically the tool holsters) are designed to withstand the brutal conditions of a salon ranging from sharp sheers to hot irons and hair dryers. Our proprietary and patented iron utensil holders are designed to be the heaviest duty holsters in the industry.... which these are mounted to the side of the station and the granite counter top being attached to the top of the station... making it virtually impossible to fully transfer heat to the cabinet unless the station was incorrectly being used without the provided heat-protection holster. Again, I think an escalation of this conversation with our Marketing Director and/or Product Designer could help get down to the bottom of this so we can better understand the situation and assess the options.

Despite those details, we still regret that Ms *** had a less than perfect experience with Standish. And I hope nothing but the absolute best to her in her venture. I first want to offer an apology for after having had this incident after investing over $4,000 in this equipment. Proper care of the equipment should prevent such issues, but we'll be happy to re-evaluate the situation to determine a win-win resolution if we can get another call scheduled with our personnel with more specific and direct product knowledge.

After full resolution of the case, I'd also be more than happy to help promote Ms ***'s (beautiful) salon on our website by either offering a (a) featured story/testimonial, and/or (b) featuring her business in our social media and Instagram feed.

Customer Response • Feb 12, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I called Standish to discuss their response to my case. We came to a mutual agreement on how they were going to handle the situation and I am now satisfied. They were very apologetic for dropping the ball customer service wise in the beginning. I would like to thank Melissa for being so nice to me when I called and following through with her promises to me.

My experience with Standish Salon Goods was excellent. The customer service representative answered all of my questions and was very attentive to any concerns that I had.
