Today I have by far, had the single worst customer service experience in my lifeEarlier today I called Bowest (Barlow) to ask if they had any USED oven racks for saleThe gentleman on the phone was kind, courteous, and willing to answer my questionsHe stated that they have a whole pile of used racks and to come down to match one up to my sampleI asked how much and he said a simple food donation or cash donation to the Calgary Food Bank was sufficient for the used racksUpon my arrival I was greeted with a completely different attitudeI asked the customer service rep if she could match some used oven racks to the sample I brought inUpon her realizing I was looking to fit them inside a fridge instead of an oven, the experience got really negativeI said I could modify the racks if need be, just need something close to the desired dimensionShe then said the dimensions shouldn't matter thenI said I was looking for something as close as possibleThis seemed to fluster her and she went back to look for some racksShe came out with two racks shortly after and said this was the best she could doShe then asked how many I need as I was looking over the racks checking the sizeWhen I did not immediately respond with an answer as I thinking how many I needed, I was greeted with a very rude "How many do you need!" I said sixShe came back with four more of different sizes shortlyI do not think she even bothered to check the sizesShe said that's all she could do and was doing me a "solid", otherwise she would have to dip into new stockWhen conversation came to price, I told her the man on the phone said a cash or food donation for the food bank would be good for the used racksSeemed like they had good supply of used onesShe then said it will require a *** dollar cash donationMust say I didn't know donations had a price tagI brought *** dollars with me as I believed this was enough for a few used oven racksThis seemed to anger her and I told her I could just pay for the racks using debitShe then said "You must keep your word and donate at a *** thenYou DO buy groceries at *** don't YOU...?!" I then said "Thank you for your kind help." As I was leaving some other woman got in my face and said "Next time someone says just a donation is required...., get his name." I never meant to go into the store to disrupt these people's lives, or be ***, which I was completely not, or be treated in such a mannerI just hope someone else doesn't have to go through the same experience I did at that storeI live in Bowness, and have done business at that location, and was completely satisfiedThe only reason I went to Barlow is because Bowness didn't have any used ones aroundSo much for supporting a local businessQuite shameful in my eyes
