the work that was done. The customer received a 30 day warranty on the transmission. The warranty covered the functionality of the transmission, which entails the drivability of the vehicle. Several weeks later, Mr. [redacted] called and stated that there was an issue with the vehicle, he was advised to bring it into the shop. Once Mr. [redacted] brought vehicle into the shop, it was diagnosed to ascertain the exact problem. The diagnosis revealed that Mr. [redacted]’s oil pan gasket was leaking. He was quoted a price of $140, including parts and labor to rectify this problem. Our conversation was cordial and civil. At no time did Mr. [redacted] express any concern in regards to the pricing of the oil pan gasket nor did he inquire about further details about what was covered in his warranty. The warranty that Mr. [redacted] had did not cover consequential effects of the service performed. The issue was unrelated to the part i.e.; the transmission was not defective nor was it a result of the repair being done incorrectly. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. To that end, we would be happy to service Mr. [redacted]’s vehicle however, based on the vehicle’s diagnosis, that particular issue was not covered under his warranty. Therefore, Mr. [redacted] is responsible for paying for the separate repair, he needed.
