Stampin’ Up! values the individuals who join Stampin’ Up! to sell its products and for the business opportunity that being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator provides. Stampin’ Up! strives to protect the business model for those individuals who choose to become Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. As
part of this effort, to protect the business model, Stampin’ Up! has the following policy which each new Demonstrator agrees to when signing up to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. As stated in the “Independent Demonstrator Application”, Section 9.I Restrictions on Representation of Competing Companies or Products: I understand that as an independent contractor, I am free to conduct my business in such manner as I deem appropriateI also understand that the value of my Demonstratorship and the Demonstratorships of others, as well as Company Products, is in large part dependent upon my obligation to refrain from promoting or selling competing products of other companies and engaging in recruitment that competes with my sale of Company ProductsAccordingly, I agree to the following:iOwnership of Related Business: I acknowledge and agree that I am prohibited from having any ownership interest (meaning ownership of greater than 5.0% of the stock or membership or other ownership interest) in a business that sells products that are the same as or similar to Company Products or which provides services focused on promoting, marketing or selling such productsI further acknowledge that I am ineligible to be a Demonstrator if my spouse (or partner in a domestic or civil union as allowed by the laws of the state in which I reside) or my Supporting Demonstrator owns, in whole or in part (meaning greater than 5.0% of the stock or membership or other ownership interest), a retail or wholesale business whose principal products are similar to Company Products or whose business is the sale of products to the arts and crafts industry generally Stampin’ Up! does not prohibit this customer from owning a card shop. What Stampin’ Up! does not allow is a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator to represent both a card shop and Stampin’ Up! at the same time. If a Stampin’ Up! Demonstator would prefer to own a card shop, or any other business that competes directly with Stampin’ Up!, they are free to cancel their Demonstrator relationship with Stampin’ Up! and pursue their other business goals

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I feel strongly that as a human being and not a puppet, that’s controlled by a puppeteer, to have the freedom of running a craft store within a town that at this moment does not have a proper legit one
Sincerely,
*** ***
