I am rejecting this response because: this ink storage unit arrived to me during a hot spell here in NC.  Opening the package I had told Brett that the unit was difficult to remove the shelves on arrival.  Let the unit...

stay in the home to accumulate to the  temp change and hoped that it would be easier to remove the shelves.  Appox 2 weeks later I still had trouble removing the shelving.  It should be a easy smooth removal and not by force. But the unit was difficult still to remove for painting.  Yes I painted the shelves.  As it is advertised on Brett's website.  Paintable products is what he sells. I contacted his company when  I had the painted shelved dried and could not replace them back into the unit without force.  I was told over & over the that the unit comes to you snugged fitted. Examining this unit, there was never any room for any expansion of the wood to breath due to the precise cuts.  Wood swells with a temp change.  My photos of what Brett has shown, shows that there was not room for expansion and that was why the shelves were forced.  Not because of paint causing the lack of space to fit the shelves as Brett has stated in his response.This company advertises a paintable product. No where on his companies website, does it state disclaimers stating that if you paint these units, the wood will swell and cannot restore the shelves. Yet all over his website its about painting these units any color under the sun.I also had purchased another product of his and that one was not a issue.  The shelving was removed & painted and restored and functioning as advertised. I had both products come in the same delivery, yet only one of them was defected at the beginning upon arrival due to the snug fitting and difficult to remove the shelving. Thats why I am 100% confidence that this one unit was  defected and Brett should fully honor a refund or another new unit at no cost on my end.  I have two units to visually compare to side by side. Both were painted. Yet one works and we are on a dispute on the other.When one spends over $100 on storage wood cabinets you expect quality.  [redacted]
