Dear [redacted] ***,Thank you for notifying my office of [redacted] dissatisfaction with our serviceI’m very sorry that she feels we are not handling the pending sale of her home properlyMy staff and I strive to make the closing process as smooth as possible for all of our clients.Our branch office located in Ladysmith, Virginia, had been asking to coordinate the signing of [redacted] seller documents for closing pursuant to the anticipating closing date listed in her sales contractOur processor had obtained the necessary payoffs, inspections, and documents including the deed for a proposed closing date of September 22, [redacted] requested a closing date of September @ 9:am She requested an earlier closing date due to her catching a plan for her planned trip to Washington for several daysAt the time of her signing, it was our understanding that the buyers would be closing the following datAt the time of signing, we discussed revision that needed to be made to the settlement statement, and the fact that we were not given a closing time for buyer [redacted] requested we hold the settlement statement, keys and all documents until we received the revised settlement statement and a firm closing date [redacted] stated she could not wait for revisions because of her flight time.On September 22nd, our processor emailed the buyers title company and did not get a response to what time or if the buyers where in fact closing that dayAfter calling, we were told there were still waiting for lender confirmation of when the package would be sentHer real estate again advised us on September 23rd that the lender stated it was still in [redacted] approval process, after we received no infoWe requested an additional update via email on the 26th with still no response again after a call we were told there was no set dateOn October 11, we received an additional email from the buyer’s title company stating they still had no update [redacted] was advised we had no information because no info had been supplied to us after repeated requestsOn October 10th, we were advised by [redacted] real estate agent that the buyers have changed to a new lender and the loan approval process was moving forward [redacted] signed closing documents are still held in her closing file until a new closing date has been scheduled, which we have not been notified of.Unfortunately as hard as we try, not all closings make the scheduled closing dateAt no time during the process did we tell [redacted] that she could not return to her property nor could she not have her keys backWe were notified that [redacted] keys were returned to her by her real estate agent.I understand that [redacted] wants to hold someone responsible for the delay in closing and any costs that she may have suffered by that was not caused by my office or the work that we performedThe continued delay in settlement is due to pending loan approval for the buyers.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
