St. Paul Cleaners Reviews (3)

Review: About three months ago, St. Paul Cleaners lost one of my expensive dress shirts; without an explanation and blaming it on a new employee. I told the owner what the shirt looked like and that they had laundered it before quite a few times. He said then, just bring the receipt; The shirt was custom made in The UK, A purple label Ralph Lauren shirt. I called their shop in Beverly Hills as they are the only one in the area that might have something similar to the custom made shirt I had and the cleaners lost. The Shirt cost is about $1200. Something similar finally arrived at the shelves and I purchased it at $539.55 taxes included. When I brought the bill, The Owner got very disrespectful, and said a lot of discriminating comments, as that when they get customers from the Montecito area they charge more, just because it's an affluent area. This is outrageous! and discriminating! I tried to solved this amicably but dealing with this man was impossible. The fact that he discriminated against customers just because of the area where they live or their affluence, is grounds for this company to be investigated. This kind of behavior is unacceptable! The shirt is not the same quality and neither custom made as the one they lost. I spend money in gas and parking to go pick it up, and I did not added that to the cost. After this I am.The shirt I purchased is the most similar to mine at that cost. What bothers me the most now is the way he expressed himself about the way the charge customers. Their staff in not very well trained, and this whole incident is a situation the Revdex.com should be there for.Desired Settlement: I brought the receipt which has my name on it to the owner.I would like to be paid back for the full amount of $539.55 for the shirt, plus $50 in gas and $15 in parking fees.

Review: I take all of my dry cleaning to St Paul's Cleaners (I always use their location in Solvang), so thought nothing of bringing a brand new shirt I bought from Nordstroms (only wore once). The lady at the front looked over the shirt and told me it would be ready next week. When I went to pick up the shirt, I noticed it had been completely ruined. The jewels on the front had completely come off and left little "beads of fabric" all over the shirt. She DID NOT even acknowledge that my shirt had been ruined. When I asked her about it she said she did not know what happened and maybe the shirt had been that way when I dropped it of! She went on to argue with me about it! Isn't dry cleaning their expertise?! I couldn't believe how rude she was and that she couldn't offer me an explanation or resolution. I tried getting ahold of the owner but the same lady kept answering the phone and telling me he wasn't there. I am just appalled at the level of disregard this business has for their customers and the way they do service. They cannot keep doing business this way.Desired Settlement: The only way for them to properly solve this matter is to replace my shirt. If this had not been a brand new expensive shirt, I may feel differently. The cost of the shirt was $132.00 from Nordstroms.

Review: I had 8 high end brand purses that needed to be dry cleaned. One day we went to St. Paul and ask them if it was something they could do, they said yes, we also ask them, because of the value of the properties if they had any problem with safety and they said absolutely not because they are a dry clean place. We dropped off one purse and told them we would drop off others after we see how they handle this one first but they insisted we should bring them all at once for cost reason.2 days after dropping them off (all of them) they called us and said somebody has broken in and all my properties are gone. Which is very odd because it never happened before, and it apparently happened when they had a value of $10 000 of purses in their hands.we went there right away to talk to them. The owner Mr Ho Suk Hong refused to talk to me at all, I asked him what happened, he responded to me that he doesn't want and need to talk to me and that I should call my insurance and leave. He also refused to apologize. He was very very defensive and aggressive. I asked him to wait with me for the police to come and he left. He yelled at me "I have nothing to tell you, your purses are gone, now leave".Not only I have been violated after the loss of all my properties emotionally and financially but the owner was very very disrespectful. I just wanted to know what happened and receive an apology, instead I felt threatened and scared by him.I left my belongings to a place I thought I could trust... It is not like some thieves took them away from me, I left my purses to a safe place, that what I thought....I am hoping justice will be done.Desired Settlement: I would like more than anything that what happened to me, never ever happened to anybody else. The business should take responsibility financially at least. Both refund or replacement... More than anything I would like the person who took my belongings give them back to me. Some of the items were very very precious to me, very sentimental value.
