I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with the Virginia State Inspector who told me that since the car had been repaired already that they normally take the car back to the dealership to have it re inspected. The Manager at the Dealership did not Disclose the known issues with the car. The steering system was broken and the car's only back bumper was the plastic cover. We asked to take the car to our Maryland Inspector and were told that was not possible, we could buy it on not. The salesman assured us that is SHOULD pass inspection in Maryland as it PASSED IN VIRGINIA.  The major issues is this dealership is selling dangerous vehicles that are being driven by families on Virginia and Maryland Roads. They will not address the true issues that this car should not have been sold to us or anyone. They  advertised a car that they did not have, when I called to inquire but told me they had a good replacement, Yes we did drive 2 hours to get this car. We thought going to a dealership was better than buying a car from a private individual without the added information such as an inspection and [redacted].  They showed us the [redacted], we test drove the car for about 10 minutes and they couldn't wait to get us to sign the forms, they made sure we were who we said we where but they lied about the car's true condition, THEY are HIDING behind the WORDS AS IS.. This was not an honest business transaction. They did not disclose the known issues with the car and their mechanic issued the state inspection sticker and therefore in my opinion fraudulently issued it, as the steering and brakes and bumper DID NOT PASS MARYLAND inspection. As consumers we thought we did our due diligence, We looked at the [redacted], we drove the car and we BELIEVED the LIES.  I want everyone in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area to know what type of dealership this is and that they  do not have integrity and are operating in an unethical and illegal manner. They should NOT be allowed to issue Virginia Inspection Stickers .I have attached pictures of the bumper and the steering leak sent us by our mechanic. A picture is worth a thousand words and as a side note we did not look under the car as the manager stated, what we should have done was have them take it in to the shop and put is up on a lift and do a real inspection.

Thanks for speaking with me today regarding [redacted] case [redacted].  The company that the complaint was filed against went out of business on 11/13/2017.  That company was named Route 1 Buick GMC..  We are a new company and our name is [redacted].  We are...

completely separate entities and do not share any financial or contractual obligations with Route 1 Buick GMC.However,  I have called Mr. [redacted] and refunded $719.21 that he paid Route 1 Buick GMC.  I would like to point out that Route 1 Buick GMC did not intentionally try to deceive Mr. [redacted].  The parts department made the mistake and the technician relayed the incorrect information to the Service Advisor.  Mr. [redacted] did not challenge the estimate at that time so inquiries were never made about the part in question.Upon my investigation, I discovered that Mr. [redacted] replaced that same part number in 2014 and received a lifetime part warranty.  Due to that fact, he would have not had to pay for the repair.  Therefore he was due a refund of the full amount of the repair. He is happy now and hopefully I have gained a lifelong customer for [redacted].Regards,Bryon E[redacted]Service Director[redacted]
