I have contacted the customer and assured them that we would do everything we can to accommodate them immediately.Response read; I have received your complaint via the Revdex.com. I share your frustrations with the delays. Delays are unavoidable in this type of business. This is a...
specialty field with a very limited talent pool of tradesman to draw from. That takes away our option of simply hiring more employees to catch up on our backlog. When combined with erratic weather patterns it makes scheduling work and honoring well intended commitments difficult and frustrating. You may recall how difficult it was to access your 40 ft chimney top even to investigate if the area could be contributing to your leakage. You indicated other contractors wanted thousands of dollars to attempt various renovations. Our assessment focused in on maintenance cracks at the very top of the chimney which we felt should be repaired while installing a chimney cover that would help eliminate water from entering the flu, all for $319. Since these items would need to be repaired regardless of any future considerations, it seemed only logical to attempt these simple repairs first. Our inspector suggested repairing the obvious defects prior to contemplating spending thousands of dollars for repairs that were not confirmed as contributing to leakage by other contractors. This was conveyed to Ms. [redacted] in person at her kitchen table. This entire assessment, repair 40 feet up, and new chimney cover had a total cost of $319. Understanding your frustration in the delays to complete this task, I will pull a crew off of the project they are involved in and have them report to your house tomorrow morning [ 6-15-2016 ] to perform the work. Upon completion of our work I would recommend that you wait before performing any interior repairs. Allow a number of heavy rain storms until you're satisfied that there is no moisture finding its way through this chimney. Our efforts are intended to address some obvious defects and should not be interpreted as a blanket warranty over the entire chimney, which we explained to Mrs. [redacted]. As part of our service we agreed to photograph the rear the chimney which is impossible to view from normal access points. If this is agreeable and tomorrow morning works for you let me know. If I do not hear back from you before noon we will call you and confirm our intention. Thank you St. Louis Slate and Tile Roofing

2-3 leaks. He got on the roof documented the cause and performed temporary repairs on the areas as a courtesy to the customer, free of charge. He took notes and pictures, spent approximately one hour on the job and let the homeowner know that a proposal would be sent out. He then left. We have contacted the customer to gather any input that would help us understand how a consumer complaint can be registered for free service delivered in a timely fashion
