On 10/24/15 [redacted] and [redacted] entered our Establishment located at XXXXX [redacted] Avenue. Mrs. [redacted] and...
Mrs. [redacted] were quoted $60 a piece for tattoos on their fingers. Mrs. [redacted] questioned what the price would be behind her ear. [redacted] the artist, stated that it would be the same price. There was a misunderstanding and Mrs. [redacted] and Mrs. [redacted] believed that this meant $60 for both of the tattoos. They received the tattoos and were told they owed $120. Mrs. [redacted] then paid the requested amount and added an additional $20 tip, resulting in a $140 total. Mrs. [redacted] also received a tattoo behind her ear by Mr. [redacted], fixing a previous tattoo that was done on 10/05/2015 by a family member of Mrs. [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] and Mrs. [redacted] then left the establishment. When they returned Mrs. [redacted] had a different attitude and tried to use scare tactics to get a refund. We explained that he meant $60 a piece, like he had quoted for the finger tattoos. Mrs. [redacted] stated that they believed it was only $60, and we explained that we have a $40 minimum for each tattoo. They agreed that no harm had been done and that it was simply a misunderstanding and left. During the month of October we have a $31 tattoo special for certain tattoos enclosed in a frame at our second location, Mrs. [redacted] never witnessed a posted sign of our special and never asked that her tattoo be included. We do have a sign posted that we have a $40 minimum eye level behind our counter. All of our artists are knowledgeable of this fact and it is explained to every customer. If a customer were to ask for a copy of the release form we would gladly give them a copy, Mrs. [redacted] never requested a copy of her release form. Mr. [redacted] is currently certified in Blood Bourne Pathogen training, and would not use disposable ink caps multiple times as pertaining to Missouri State Law. Mrs. [redacted] and Mrs. [redacted] may have been confused that our artist uses ink bottles to pour ink into disposable caps, and are trained in cross contamination. Our sincerest apologies go out to Mrs. [redacted] for the misunderstanding, but the blatant disregard for the truth of the situation is a defamation of our good character and reputation at St. Louis Ink Tattoo Studio. A refund will not be issued.
