Information on our seed purity and what weed pressure causes. Crabgrass seed lies in the soil in wait, biding its time for just the right temperature and moisture to emerge and wreak havoc in lawns for another season. Crabgrass continues to be the number one pest in lawns
worldwide. No matter how much effort you’ve taken in previous years to control crabgrass, our soils remain a veritable seed bank of crabgrass from years past. This warm-season summer annual grass germinates from seed just prior to the first significant growth period of our lawn grasses. And as annual plants are genetically programmed to do since they live such a short time, they grow like mad under optimal temperature conditions. Hence, a warm-season crabgrass plant has an inherent competitive advantage against cool-season lawn grasses (fescues, bluegrasses, and ryegrasses) and can even slug it out with perennial warm-season grasses (things like bermudagrass and zoysiagrass) because it gets a jump on them in early spring growth." -*** *** "Crabgrass cannot be controlled in one growing season because of the great number of viable seeds that can accumulate in the soil from years of infestationA good weed management program in lawns is one that consists of both focused cultural practices and the use of herbicides as appropriate for the control of any given speciesSatisfactory control may require several seasons of conscientious adherence to a good management program." -*** ***

it. Much like a newborn child goes home from the hospital with the parents - instructions are provided and with active participation, the child will grow bigger and healthier every day. We did a site revisit on June 22nd, we found the lower main part of the project to have a full stand of tall fescue, no timed sprinklers were observed anywhere. Some wash out due to a storm, beyond our control occurred on the hill next to the house - we agreed to touch up these areas, but suggested we come back in late summer/early fall to apply additional seed. In the letter - weed pressure was mentioned and implied that we introduced these seeds to his soil. We don't Hydroseed weeds, I attached tag from product that was applied to customers ground showing 0% weed seed, also included is information from two Universities about weed pressure. The crabgrass was never the issue the issue is that nothing grew at all. I have attached pictures of the lack of growth from their product. Nothing ever happened and I paid them a lot of money. Their website acts like there will be grass to mow within a month. I haven’t heard anything from the company. I just want my money back for no action by the seeding. I would’ve even been happy with weeds.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Yard was watered, fertilizer was used, as a result I have had to start over. Already stated over spending more money and having better luck on my own. I was not going to spend another $750 for something that didn't work the first time. Thanks
Sincerely,

Our offer to re-Hydroseed was below our cost at $750.00.If it would make him happy, we will come down to his house aerate, overseed (broadcast) and fertilize for free , all my cost.We also did not do the ground prep, residual weed killer could have been applied????Instructions are fairly basic , water completely! Water consistently !Do not let seedlings dry up. Fertilize in 30days, no weed killer. Please call me with any questions. We have many pictures of lawns that with a little care are beautiful.Hope to clear this up soon. Thanks[redacted]
