St. Francis Cemetery

Review: I wou ld like to issue a complaint against St. Francis Cemetery ([redacted], Mgr.) at [redacted].

In 1987 my husband,[redacted], passed and was buried at St. Francis Cemetery. At that time, a nd afte r paying for my husband's burial, I went ahead and gave the Cemetery the amount of $450.00 to cover my burial in the distant future.

I am now 87 years old and in poor health and have decided to be cremated, instead of buried; St. Francis Cemetery does not do crematio n, therefore, I have asked Mr. [redacted], Manager of St. Francis Cemetery, to please return my $450.00 deposit so that my daughter will have that money available for my cremation, w hen the time comes. My daughter lives in Mesa and it would be convenient to find a Catho lic cremation facility near where she lives.

I have sent Mr. [redacted] a number of letters, since April 2014, some of them Certified, Return Receipt Requested, asking that my $450.00 deposit be returned but to this date he has not comp lied. Mr. [redacted] offered $360.00, in answer to one of my letters, but I rep lied asking my full amount of $450.00, since he has been collecting interest o n my money since 1987 so I feel I should at least receive the full amount I paid them of $450.00.Desired Settlement: Can you please help me by writing him a letter requesting that they return my deposit of $450.00.

don't have the money to hire an attorney so I'm coming to you with the hope that you can do something to help me; perhaps a letter from you may help prompt him to act in my favor.
