Squirrels Tree Care

After a storm, in the beginning of July, I contracted this company to remove a tree in my backyard that became damaged, posing a safety concern. Squirrels Tree Care removed a downed limb, and was contracted to remove the rest of the tree, with a down payment of $1,250 (half the cost) provided. This was in July... it is now mid September, the tree remains and this company will not return voicemails/texts. Since July, and the tree being a safety concern as carpenter ants have caused significant damage, children have not been allowed to play in the yard and we have been constantly worried that another storm will bring the tree down, causing more damage. We are moving in October, but have not placed our current home on the market yet, because half of a tree that poses a safety concern will undoubtedly turn off potential buyers... and limit what we can sell the house for. I now have to contract another company to do this work that I have already put half down for. My next step from here is to refer the matter to our attorney. Unbelievable...
