Ms. [redacted] had foundation problems before we could even begin our work. The sidewalks we did for her came out beautiful. Obviously, she still has foundation problems leading to the cracks in the porch area. I paid MR. [redacted] $500 because he told me verbatum, "SURE, I CAN FIX IT". So I paid him and...
it cracked again. Ms. [redacted] needs to see the company she hired to do her foundation repair. I have already paid $500 out of pocket to an "expert" to remedy the problem.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
Mr Spurlock did a poor job on my concrete patio and sidewalks. The patio cracked after a couple of weeks because of his poor workmanship. I have pictures and witnesses on how poorly he did the job.1. The concrete that he poured was very thin and uneven, especially on the patio. There were hollow cavities in the patio slab, which were visible when inspecting from the sides. He does not know the design mix of the concrete that he used or how long the concrete had been sitting in the truck before it was poured or how much water he added. All these factors are important and as a professional concrete contractor, he should have taken all this into consideration. The patio cracked because of his sloppy and poor workmanship. 2. He did a sloppy job and left my yard sloppy. He left mounds of sand and concrete in my yard and didn't clean it up. All the extra sand that was left in my yard might have been an indication that the base was not constructed completely or properly before the concrete was poured. Concrete experts have looked at the patio and said that there didn't appear to be proper support in the base layer. 3. The concrete patio should have nothing to do with the house foundation, because they are two separate slabs. If he had any concerns about the foundation leveling, that was completed before he started the patio job, he should have not taken the job. And it was his call to pin the new concrete with the old. It may have been a bad decision but it was completely his call.
