subject to complaints to the Revdex.com, we are answering this complaint in the interest of openness and transparency. Please note that the storm occurred on Saturday, January 23, and the complainant submitted the complaint on Sunday, January 24. This was less than 24 hours after the storm ended, not 36 hours, as alleged in the complaint. The contention that the street had not been plowed for 36 hours is openly false and completely without merit. The Spring Mills Subdivision has a clearly stated snow removal policy that is posted on our website (http://springmills.org) and was posted on the Association's [redacted] page (https://[redacted]). Furthermore, this policy has been published frequently in the Spring Mills Bulletin, the Association's newsletter that is delivered to every resident each quarter. The Spring Mills snow removal policy, which was followed in the storm of January 23, includes the following provisions:•Snow will be removed from the streets when it accumulates 4 inches or more.•When there is a major storm, snow removal will begin when the storm is over.•In case of large accumulations, the plows will clear one lane on each street first and then return to clear the streets completely. This allows emergency vehicles to access all homes as soon as possible. This policy was followed completely in the storm of January 23 on every street in Spring Mills. The storm ended late in the evening of January 23, and snow removal began on Sunday, January 24, as soon as the equipment was able to get into the development. Local roads leading into Spring Mills had to be cleared before the snow removal equipment could access the development. As our policy states, one emergency lane was cleared on each street on January 24. Clearing of the streets continued on Monday, January 25 and was completed on Tuesday, January 26. Since this was a historic storm, leaving approximately 39 inches of snow in Spring Mills, special equipment was required that is not needed for “normal” winter storms. This information can be corroborated by [redacted] (###-###-####), the contractor we hire for clearing snow in Spring Mills. All streets in Spring Mills had a safety lane plowed within 24 hours after the storm ended, and streets were completely cleared within 3 days. The complainant's allegation that the street was not plowed for 36 hours is patently false and without merit. Association assessments will not be refunded.
