SpringHill Suites Memphis East/Galleria

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites, East Galleria, Memphis, TN from 7/14 to 7/18. Some days later I realized I got a charge in my credit card for 250 dlls on 7/19. I called the Hotel and [redacted] explained that I was suspicious of being smoking in the room, then I got the a fine. After some other calls, the manager [redacted], explained to me that the personnel found evidence that I was smoking in the room. He was not able to say what kind of evidence. He also said that before doing the charge, they try to contact the girl who made the reservation. They didn't call me or email me. My contact info is attached to the reward number. As I told him, I'm not a smoker. I have never even tried a cigar in my life. In fact, in my profile, since I created the account, I did set that I prefer a non smoking room. I have been staying at the same hotel for years and I never got a problem or accusation like this. I'm sure this is a misunderstanding.Also, I'm now thinking the security in the hotels is not good enough.
