Review: My son had to have his car towed back home. No problem - the insurance company handled the tow. My son text-ed me and says he owed the guy $13 but he didn't have it so I told him I would bring it to him. No problem there. On the way home to give the tow driver the $13 my son calls and says the tow driver will charge a $1.50 for waiting (presumably for him having to wait for me to get there to pay him the $13). My bill would have been $26. When I got there I told him I was only going to pay the $13 unless he could show me on the towing invoice where it stated I (or anybody) could be charged $1.50 a minute for him having to wait. My bill would have been $26. He said it wasn't on the invoice so I told him he would only get the $13 from me. He called his boss or boss' office to talk to his boss and I said I would like to talk to him. His boss never called back and somewhere along the line while I was trying to contact my insurance company the two driver called the police. The police come - get his side of the story - get my side of the story and in the end say its a civil matter. No problem for me since I didn't call them. At this time the tow driver decides' he'll accept $22 instead of the $26 - so I paid him just to end the ordeal. So my complaint here is how can they charge a person a $1.50 a minute for waiting? is this legal? If its not legal - how are they allowed to get away with it? And if it is legal - why aren't they made to add it to their invoices instead of having the tow driver tell the customer?Desired Settlement: Would like some answer for the questions I asked
