On Sept 30,2016 we performed an oil change on the customer car. The mileage was 96081. On Oct 3,2016 the customer brought the car back and the mileage was 96210. were no symptoms as described. The first thing we did was recheck the oil level and it was okay. After we checked the oil level , oil filter, and oil pan drain plug, we left the vehicle in the service bay running so that we could possible catch the car duplicating the symptoms that the customer described. After about 20 minutes of engine running time the vehicle made a noise and the car stalled. We tried to restart the engine and nothing happened. When the vehicle made the noise it sounded like the engine had seized internally. We checked to see if we are able to turn the engine over manually, you do this by using a tool and you turn the crankshaft with that tool, we were not able to turn the crankshaft either direction which indicates something internally in the engine is no correct. We also removed the starter to make sure that it wasn't seized or the gears on the starter and flywheel were jammed together because that could cause the customer symptoms. At this point we thought that the engine was seized and recommended replacement of the engine. The customer declined the recommendation. As we pushed the vehicle out of the service bay ,the technician working on the car tried to start the car and the car started. The only symptom that we occurred after that was an intermittent noise.  We still advised the customer that we believed there is some type of internal damage to the engine and not to drive the car. At this time I do not know what is wrong with this vehicle. I will be glad to recheck everything at no charge and try to determine was is wrong with the vehicle.
