Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaintDue to federal law concerning private healthcare information (HIPAA), I am unable to address specific details of this patients transaction However, in general, I can say that every patient is informed of the allowed amounts of the particular policy before they make a purchase If they choose a product above their policy's allowable, they can sign the "Upgrade Option" and pay the difference a the time of purchase To treat this person different would be discriminatory and not allowed Carol [redacted]
