Review: Received flyer in the mail in which a tab was pulled revealing a winning prize of 3,000.00 USD cash. When I went to claim my prize, I actually was awarded a 2 night trip somewhere in which I would have to pay airfare. Apparently, everyone who received the flyer says they are big winners, but all they receive is this trip. Sales rep kept the flyer as I walked out.Desired Settlement: I would like the 3,000.00 cash that was awarded to me in this prize. Plus payment for my time and fuel costs.

Response:
the flyer clearly stated that they may have won $3000. not that they won. in the flyer if the person had bothered to read it also stated the odds on winning the $3000. im sorry this person did noth read the flyer in full.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I did read the flyer in full and the fine print. This business just enjoys being sleazy. I'll just make sure to shop elsewhere. Regards, [redacted]
Review: To summarize the incident, I went to the dealership on 9/27 and received a written offer, with management authorization, and I place a $500 down payment on the vehicle that evening based upon that written offer. This offer was a printed from their system and included: date, dealer name, my name, VIN and truck description, selling price, taxes, fees etc, and a management approval section (which was signed).
When I returned after the weekend on 9/30, they never informed me they increased the price of the vehicle by $500 (after I received the signed offer and put down a down payment) to cancel out one of the rebates I qualified for. Unfortunately I did not catch this until after the transaction was completed.
When I questioned the dealer, they justified their actions by saying, “we gave you more for your trade-in than we wanted to.” ( I traded in the vehicle for $11k and they have it listed on their site for $18k. This is also well below trade-in values from multiple sources which average around $11,800.) The dealer says this offer is “just a piece of paper”; however, this met all the criteria for a contract with my acceptance being the down payment.Desired Settlement: Refund the amount overcharged of $500 plus the $30 PA state tax collected.
