Dishonest, misleading company. You will be signed up for multiple subscriptions when being lead to believe you're signing up for one. Customer service has proven this is a scam by the fact that they're unwilling to offer refunds and had never emailed any invoice or billing statement. Avoid using this company at all costs!
I used the "trial" to look up one number. It only gave me the city and state of number.
Then proceeded to charge me 17.95 and $19.95 in one month!
You are charged the full membership immediately upon signing up, but that does not include the search rights. You must pay additional fees for each area you would like to search (address, telephone number, etc.). None of the information we paid for on either search was accurate. The criminal background check was the most innacurate of all the information, yet the most expensive to purchase. Upon requesting a refund, and arguing the reason for one, we were finally told we would be credited our total charge of $63.75 (which no results were achieved with), which has still yet to be credited now a week later. I would not recommend this to anyone, take your chances with a Google search instead and you're more likely to uncover more of the information you want.
I tried Spokeo on 9/15/16 as a 7 day trial for $.95. I was just informed by my book keeper that I am being billed $9.85 and $19.95 each month. I would not mind paying for each time I use it, but was unaware it would automatically enroll me in monthly services. So I've paid $90.35+ so far too look up one phone number! No receipt emailed, mailed or texted each month. I am a honest person, and am just getting tired of getting taken advantage of! That is the reason I am writing this review, for the next person like me. I did contact Spokeo and they said I agreed to the auto renewal. I cannot dispute that, I do not remember what all the terms were form back then, when I paid $.95 for that one search. Just pay attention to the terms and what you agree to.
