Review: For the last three years my daughter has played soccer that is run through one of our local sports associations. One field location we have been assigned for games is not the accurate size nor do we have accurate size goals. I have let Spokane Youth Sports Association (aka: SYSA) know about the issues that we have experience with the one particular field we have been assigned to play on. The first time I let them know about the issue was in October 2013 and I asked for proper field painting and goal sizes at the one location. Every other field provided by SYSA for the use of recreational league soccer, has the proper sized fields with the proper size goals. I also scheduled a meeting and met with the Soccer Director ([redacted]) in April of 2014 to again let him know about my concerns with the field we would be playing on. At that time, I was assured that the proper size field and goals would be on the field before the first games of the spring season. When we showed up for our game in May at the aforementioned field, again, nothing had been corrected. As a result of the lack of changes made, I resigned my position as head coach for my daughter's team.Desired Settlement: I would like the Deer Park (Perrins Field) field size for U8/U9 soccer be corrected. I would also like the goal sizes to be of regulation size for this age group.
