I had Spokane Valley Appliance come and diagnose a problem with my oven. Matthew came and said I needed a new part that he had to order. I paid for the part and have waited over a month now to get the part and have him come back and install it. I have called the company several times and left messages and have not received a call back. I have not received the part that I have already paid for and have not had my oven fixed.
We have a Samsung *** electric dreyer that was not heating. On January 27, 2020 I found Spokane Valley Appliance Repair on a Google search and called the listed number, ***, that was answered by an individual who identified himself as "Matthew". I explained my problem and he advised he could take care of the issue today. After I gave him the appliance information he gave me his "direct number" of *** as he advised me the number I called was "an answering service". He said he would locate the suspected faulty part, the heating element. Matthew contacted me soon after and said he had located the part and could make the repair that afternoon. My wife was at home while I was at work and I advised she would be at home. I arrived home at approximately 2:45pm and spoke Matthew and his assistant "Nate". The repair was completed and the dryer was running. Matthew said the element was faulty and was replaced with a new one. He showed me the old element which and broken. He said the price was $258 and I was pleased because the other estimate was $300. He then gave me the bill of $388.66. I asked him about the $258 figure he gave me earlier and he said that was for the element. I paid the bill with my Visa card and received a receipt by email. Approximately 10 minutes after Matthew left the dryer shut down had displayed an HE code. I checked the owners manual that identified the code as Invalid heating temp in running the dryer. I called Matthew and He returned to my residence 30 minutes later and checked for obstruction in the vent system, which was little. He then said he was going to replace the thermostats "no charge" on the new heating element. After he left the dryer again shut down and displayed the HE code. Matthew said he would have to replace the wiring harness and control board and would call back. The manual said to check the thermistor for an HE code. I tested the thermistor on the blower which was faulty and replaced it. the dryer then ran perfectly.
