Review: I left my horses in the care of [redacted], owner of Spokane Trail Rides. When I left them the end of November, they were overweight due to lack of activity. In February I picked up two of my horses and told the new manager, [redacted], that my horses were losing weight and they needed more feed. I also purchased 100 pounds of grain to be fed as a supplement to the daily hay feedings. I picked my horses up on March 26th and they were being starved. I took them to a veterinarian to have an evaluation. My mare, Perle, was a body score of 2 on a scale of 1-9, 1 meaning near death. In the contract it states "stable agrees to provide adequate hay and facilities for normal and reasonable care required to maintain the health and well being of the animals". [redacted] did not fulfill her guarantee listed in the contract. My other horses were also under weight and malnourished. These horses are not difficult to maintain weight. They are young and healthy (verifiable by the veterinarian). I have before and after pictures as well as veterinarian documentation. [redacted] is stating the cause of weight loss is due to the stallion being a cribber. He has always had this vice and has never had an issue keeping weight (or regaining it at this time). Neither the mare nor gelding are cribbers and they lost a significant amount of weight. I sent text messages and a certified letter stating my dissatisfaction with her services. I have not received a response from the text messages and my letter was denied.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a complete refund of monies spent for the care of my animals. $3210 in the form of a WalMart money order. If I pursue legal action I will then demand full restitution of all monies spent in board, rehabilitation, time lost and legal fees.
