Review: I went to the ENT center on May 15, 2013 to have a mass looked at, on the side of my neck. they examined it and took a biopsy of it,and was told it needed to be removed.when I sat down with [redacted] in billing the amount was $537 I wrote a check for $137 with the balance of $400. and we discussed one hundred dollar payments a month for the next four months to pay off the balance and she agreed that would be okay.had surgery set up,and had a call from [redacted] and was told and shown a bill for $800 for the surgeons bill.that was to happen on May 22 Went in and gave [redacted] 100 more dollars for a balance of $700 thinking I had a total balance of $1100. had the surgery, on May 22, 2013. went in for follow-up exam,May 29, 2013 after the exam I was led in to see [redacted] again. And was handed a bill for $2184 my first bill on May 15 went from $537 to $912 and my bill on May 22 from the surgeon went from $800 to $1499 so my balance went from $1100 to $2184 and was told that's just the way it is. When I started this endeavor I told them I needed to know what the bottom dollar was, because I didn't have insurance, Thinking it was going to cost me $1337 jumped to $2421. at first when she showed me these amounts, on paper statements, and to make the payment for $137and for $100 she took the paperwork back and only had handed me the receipt for the payment, back to me and kept the original statement so as not to show the first bill of $537 and the second for $800, what recourse do I have in this action and can the bill just keep growing, and growingDesired Settlement: I think I should only have to pay the original balance of $400 from the first exam and $700 the balance of the surgeons bill. Instead of owing $685 the balance from the first encounter and $1499 on the second encounter of the surgeons bill.
