details that Splitit is not a recurring billing payment and neither its a consumer financing solutionMoreover, we explain that throughout the installment plan period, we put a hold/authorization equal to the outstanding amount, that we can ensure that the merchant will always get paidThe benefit to you, as a consumer/cardholder, despite the fact that there is a hold/authorization for the outstanding purchase amount, is that hold/authorizations are not charges, therefore don't show as debts on your credit card statementSo, instead of charging full purchasing amount, with Splitit the only charge/debt is only the monthly installment amountIn case, the outstanding amount is not available on the consumer's/cardholder's credit line, after a day window of notification sent via email and phone, according to the terms and conditions, which the customer has agreed to, Splitit will charge the full outstanding balanceThis how our patented technology works. In addition, to all the language and explanation, included in our terms and conditions, we have also made sure, that the merchant, includes language explaining how the product worksSuch illustrations/explanation, is embedded in the checkout, just before you place the orderThere, too, we have made sure we clearly explain how Splitit works and emphasize that besides the monthly installment payments, the customer/cardholder, must also have the outstanding amount available on their credit card and that the outstanding amount will be placed on a hold/authorization.
