Bad Experience, terrible customer service, rude owner
We waited on a waiting list for almost a yearWe had to continually call to keep our name on the waiting list as the website kept dropping our name from the listFinally a litter with a female dapple came, that's when the changes and underhanded business came into playFirst Kelly Bensabat said she was now keeping the only female dapple from the litter because her dapple could no longer produce puppies and we would now have to take a boy dog at an additional fee because "they were so pretty"We reluctantly agreedAfter some consideration we all we to express our uncomfortableness with the situation and stated that we had been on a waiting list for a female and that's what we wanted, were willing to wait, obviously as we had been on the list for close to a year alreadyThe owner, MsKelly was extremely rude, as if we were so bothersomeShe was so flabbergasted and said fine you can have the female but you have to let me breed it with the male of my choice on her 3rd period and she would then get pick of the litter along with registering the dog in Splendor farms nameMy fiancé agree and after discussing I said, wait we did not sign up for this, so now we are going to have to take care of a pregnant dog, and puppies for weeksSounds like a lot for a working couple with no real dog breeding experienceWe called and again got her typical rude attitude and tried to push a Black and Tan long haired male on us (listed on her website as wire haired)I called, no answer as usual, so I texted that we were not happy with the dog and felt like we were getting sy customer service, which we wereShe responded with her typical bully attitude and that is where the deal fell apartI will not tolerate bad customer service abd absolutely no customer appreciationThe facilities are subpar, overgrown and not well keptYou try to look past all of that because o the dogs but the owner is so rude it makes it impossible to do business with this establishment

I paid close to $2,for a puppy that I had to fly to New Orleans to get, even though that Kelly said she delivers puppiesWithin days of bringing the puppy home, he started to show symptoms of giardia infection and other worms that he got at the farm according to my vet and according to the number of days for incubationIt has cost me about another $2,in vet bills for the sick puppy the Kelly sold meAs the other reviewer noted, Kelly Bensabat is not a nice person to deal withIn fact, she is downright rude and nastyAs soon as I called to inform her about the puppy being sick, she started threatening me with attorneys and demanded my vet's recordsI'll make this short...after many months of trying to deal with her (all I wanted were vet expenses before he had such high bills) and she implied if she had the records she demanded, she'd helpShe is dishonest and made up lies abut things I said to her, absurd statements that were off the wallCheck the site "tripadvisor.com" and read the reviews and you will find much of the same about herDishonesty with business, selling sick, infected puppies an many disgusting descriptions of the place from othersThe mud, snakes and cockroaches inside sounded unbelievable. You will find the same complaints about her all over the internetOne person from California had the same experience as I did with a sick infected puppy and nastiness when Kelly is told and finally threats that her husband who I understand is a troubled attorney, will file a lawsuit in federal courtThat is not possible for any one to defend because the costs are prohibitiveThis person after many months trying to deal with that Kelly, the miserable owner of Splendor FarmsI now have been trough many months with a sick puppy with diarrhea that has cost me over $4,000.00! The time spent cleaning up and disinfecting from this puppy has also been a major ordealI am now in credit card debt that I should not be because this woman, Kelly, refused to pay for anything but $for initial worming treatment I have documents to prove all I have said and I also have the complaints filed elsewhere and on trip advisor to prove everything I have describedDo not buy any of these sick puppies and don't count on staying there as it is too full with cockroaches from what I readIt's late but I plan to return to the site and file a complaint in te ext day or so

Review: On June 30, 2014, I took my family to Splendor Farms in Bush, LA. The following is a true and accurate statement of our experiences during our stay...My children wanted to go horseback riding and after searching the internet, they found the website for Splendor Farms in Bush, LA. I went online and researched and found many negative reviews and also positive reviews about this place... I was to find out later that the positive reviews must have been left by friends and family of Splendor Farms or by the management itself. That being said, I will now DETAIL this "All Inclusive" experience:DOGSWhen we pulled up to the establishment, a group of dogs jumped on my truck and scratched up the paint. The owner stated, "What do you expect, you are on a farm".THE STENCHFrom the moment I opened my truck door until after I left, my nostrils were filled with the aroma of fresh squeezed feces. If you enjoy the smell of animal dung, this is the place for you! BREAKFASTWhen we found this place online, it was advertised as a bed and breakfast. The "breakfast" that we got was muffins wrapped in cellophane, three yogurts, juice, and three apples located in a mini fridge next to a disgusting toilet that would not flush...LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO THE NASTY BROKEN TOILET.POOL AREAThe pool was filthy. There was not only a lot of debris floating in the pool, but also swimming bugs, and worse of all, dead frogs floating in the pool. To top off this "experience" the biting flies and mosquitoes were so bad that we could not spend more than 10 minutes out there before we had to go inside."PETTING ZOO"This is NOT like any petting zoo I have ever been too. The ground was "Slip-n-slide sloppy" and muddy, the animals were covered in mud and dirt and biting flies. The "zoo" as it is described on their website consists of a few goats, sheep, and two ponys...one of which bit my 10 year old daughter and drew blood. Once again, the owner used the, "you ARE on a farm" excuseDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the horrible experience that we encountered at this place.
