I had a freezer delivered on 5/18/2020 by Spirit Logistics who delivered for Home Depot. They damaged my wall because they set the freezer wrong at the top of the stairs which then proceeded to slip and damage the wall. I reached out to Home Depot and they stated I needed to contact the delivery company, Spirit Logistics. I filed a claim within 24 hours of the damage done and now 10 days later received another letter stating Spirit Logistics is not responsible for my damage their employees did to my home. The initial letter stated there was 30 days to submit information. It has only been 10 days, not all business, including a holiday.
On 11/23/2019 I received delivery of a refrigerator and freezer purchased from Home Depot. I had paid for removal of the old appliances. While removing the freezer from the basement. When the guys finally got the freezer out of the basement, the guy in charge flashed a paper and pen for me to initial for the "delivery" alone [falsely representing the form and my requested signature]not giving me opportunity to read it, then couldn't get to the truck fast enough. Then I found out why.... The delivery crew had damaged the walls with large gouges, denting the metal corner protector, various dents along the walls and baseboard, chunks of wood from stair steps, and loosen the hand rail. An insurance claim was file with *** of Lexington KY [Nancy R] in early December then passed to Spirit Delivery. I filled out the requested forms, sent the requested photos and repair estimates from contractors for over $1000.00. I didn't hear back from them and started a follow-up in Feb., only to get a run-around including being told "the claim was lost", "the claim was filed wrong", "already paid to another name", Eventually denied stating the "damage was from wear and tear". In April I invited Spirit to send a representative to look and have not heard from them. Spirit Delivery is not a customer orientated based company. The delivery guys misrepresented paperwork only to protect themselves.
I am very concerned about that the extremely poor customer service I have received from Spirt Delivery and Home Depot Corporate. I am hoping you can assist me because neither companies are returning my calls and responding to my emails. In the meantime the contractor at Spirt Delivery who should have installed my new dishwasher by turning off the dishwasher shut off valve instead of the hot water shut off valve has caused me thousands of dollars ($3100+) damage to my pipes and has left me with Hot Water. I have had to contact the NYS Attorney Generals office to file a complaint along against Home Depot Corporate. I am in the process of reporting the local Spirit Delivery Company the NJ ARtorney General’s Office because they denied my claim For damages to my pipes because they have not accepted negligence and responsibility for not incorrectly turning off the hot water valve instead of the dishwasher shutoff valve that was specifically installed to seize water flow from the pipes to the dishwasher during installation which specifically avoids having to touch the hot water valve to avoid any unnecessary problems. In this case we had full hot water to our Kitchen sink and dishwasher. After the Spirit Delivery Contractor turned off the hot water instead of
The fully operational dishwasher shutoff valve, we no longer had any more
Running hot water to the Kitchen sink. This due to negligence on the part of the Spirit Delivery contractor and negligence in the part of Home
Depot for not hiring experienced contractors.
I have also wrote to you about my concerns with having the same company who caused damage to my property due to negligence process my insurance claim which appears to be conflict of interest. You also did not respond to me. This is causing me serious anxiety and concerns over the lack of empathy and customer service, care and attention any of you companies have given me or this matter. The least the can do is make the repairs!
Dangerous! Spirit delivery installed a gas range ordered from Home Depot. There was an error in the order and no installation kit came with the delivery. The driver hooked up the stove to my existing gas connection but did not have any sealant. He told me this would be fine. A few days later we smelled gas and had the gas shut off and called a plumber. The plumber says that it could’ve blown up our house. When we called spirit to complain they state that they never use sealant! I am going to report them to national grid, we are lucky that no one was hurt.
On Friday 12/13/19, Someone from Spirit Delivery, Came to my house to install a new dishwasher bought through Home Depot. When they arrived at my house in a U-haul with no ID . The contractor came in to my home, Looked at my already existing dishwasher and stated he “had never done one of these before”. Then he turned off the water to install the dishwasher. However he turned off the cold and hot water shutoff valves and then told me the hot water valve wasn’t shutting the water off completely so he could not install the dishwasher. He told me to call a handyman because it was a simple job of Replacing the hot water valve but that he was not allowed to do that. At the time I didn’t realize he had Shut off the hot water valve instead of the dishwasher water shutoff valve That was directly and visibly above the hot water valve and fully operational. He told me that the handyman could also install my dishwasher and that he would assure that I receive a credit for the installation fee I was charged. Yet to date I have not received any credit.
After they left without installing my new Dishwasher, I realized I had no longer had any hot water coming out of my kitchen sink. Prior to that I had full pressure for My hot water which at least enabled me to wash my dishes. Monday 12/16, I had a plumber come to my house and he told me that the contractor “screwed” us and cost us a huge by even touching the hot water shutoff valve instead of turning off the dishwasher shut off valve. He further stated that by the contractor shutting off the hot water valved it forced air and sediment into my pipes and by trying to replace the hot water valve they would have to shut off the main hot water valves which could cause further damage in the pipelines. The plumber quoted $3100 to replace damaged pipes and stated that a licensed plumber would have checked into All of that prior to turning off anything! Spirit is telling me it will take 6 weeks to investigate! Now I have no hot water!
Spirit Delivery was at my home on 3 different dates and did damage to my hardwood floors on the first date, the microwave bracket from the microwave they were replacing (preventing me from being able to sell it), and my brand new GE gas range (subsequently replaced by GE) on the second date, and my mailbox was broken by the delivery truck on the last date. They have not returned phone calls or emails and I received a letter stating they are not responsible because nothing was written on the "proof of delivery." The driver who broke my mailbox came up to my door and apologized and this occurred AFTER the appliance was delivered and all papers were signed.
With regard to the floor damage, this was brought to GE’s attention and I was given the phone number for Sedgwick to file a claim. The younger employee watched me repair the damage with stain while the other completed his work. With regard to the microwave bracket being damaged, I called Spirit upon the delivery employees leaving. The one gentleman I spoke with was going to attempt to locate another bracket but none were available. The remaining damage he did to the appliances was covered by GE replacing the range due to the countless problems from the same delivery employee.
I had a delivery scheduled with Spirit on 10/2/2019. The driver was supposed to reach out to me 30 minutes before arrival to let me know they were on the way. They did not call until they had ALREADY arrived at my gate and were not inputting the gate code correctly. I called back 20 minutes later and they told me they had already left and refused to turn around. They told me the next time they would come to deliver would be 1 week later. The issue was on their end because I confirmed with home depot that I did in fact give them the correct gate code, and it was Spirit's fault for not putting it in correctly, yet they are unwilling to remedy the situation on their end.
On 08/20 Spirit delivered a refrigerator and range to my home. They attempted to put a 36 inch wide refrigerator through a 36 inch opening, leaving no room. They damaged the entire entry way to my home, handrail, custom gate, hallway and kitchen entrance.
$1600.00 worth of plaster and wood damage, along with the refrigerator needing new stainless steel panels.
Ordered refrigerator from Home Depot on Sunday, September 8th. Delivery scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th.
Spirit delivery gave us a window between 730am and 1130 am
They came between 815 and 820, and did not leave a time or date on the yellow sticker and left within 5 minutes, as per neighbors. I left to take my child to school just around the corner.
Called to see if they could return and they said no way. Even though it is on the truck today they are going to take it back to the warehouse and reload it on Sat instead of bringing it anytime today. The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a delivery company
Delivery of appliance purchased through Lowes. Floor was damaged by delivery persons. I asked them to use a hand truck to move the heavy old appliance aside and I was ignored. Instead they twisted and "walked" the appliance across the floor.Delivery man in charge stated he would report it to the company to be fixed and took pictures. After sending estimates waiting extended periods of time and poor communication and incorrect email addresses company denied claim to fix flooring because delivery person now says "he didn't do it." We moved into the home shortly before and the flooring was brand new. The delivery persons also removed the entrance door completely off the frame instead of just removing hinge pin, and door is not positioned properly. Has gaps and drags threshold.
Stole one of my tools!!! I had a washer and dryer from Home Depot delivered by spirit. Things seemed ok until I realized about an hour later when was connecting the gas line to the dryer that one of the guys walked off with my pipe wrench. An old school large size #4 Armstrong pro plumbers pipe wrench!!! I mean they stole my stuff. So I call Spirit and the girl who answered said she asked the crew and - surprise surprise they said they didn’t have it. The next day I get survey request. Naturally I gave lowest score. I get a call and to cut to the end spirit isn’t going to do anything. I mean at least offer to reimburse me for it. But nothing at all offered. It was like ‘yeah well ah...’. If I could sue them I would. The worst experience I ever had. Too bad I can’t give zero stars.
Spirit Delivery/Logistics Network damaged my new home when delivering the 4th refrigerator (previous deliveries arrived either already damaged and one was damaged by the delivery team). All deliveries prior to the last one were made using a dolly to bring the new refrigerator into the home and the old one out of the home. The last delivery resulted in damage to the threshold of my new home. This time, the team used straps to carry the refrigerator and they had difficulty controlling it as they brought it into the narrow doorway. They tore the weather stripping and scratched the threshold. I immediately pointed this out to the team and filed a claim. I provided all necessary information including photographs and repair estimates. They denied my claim.
Spirit stated this crew used the “proper procedure.” I had to stop their crew before they used pliers to twist out brushed nickel door hinge pins; this would have scratched the finish on the pins and left plier teeth marks. I had to provide their crew with a hammer and screw driver. I also had to provide their crew with a ratchet wrench to lower the feet on the old refrigerator and set down the feet on the new refrigerator; their crew was attempting to do this with pliers.
This is a brand-new house. There was no damage to the threshold prior to their crew scratching it as they brought refrigerator #4 into my home. I had asked them to reimburse me for the damage caused by their delivery persons and they denied doing the damage.
I appealed in a letter dated April 27. Spirit didn't even bother to respond to my claim.
I ordered a refrigerator from *** and Spirit Delivery had delivered the item. They installed the refrigerator and a few days later I had water all over the place. The front water line wasn't connected. I sent in a claim with the company because I now have water damage on the one side of my kitchen from this. I have been back and forth with so many people to get this resolved and haven't gotten anywhere. It's going to cost $4,000 to repair my floor. They stated they were denying the claim because of preexisting damage. I bought my house 3 years ago and it was completely renovated. There was no preexisting damage to my floors!
Spririt deliveries has unjustly taken money out of my invoices for a claim I am not responsible for their claims manager Diana R is rude and cannot provide solid facts on a claim I was charged for unfairly and does not answer her phone and stopped answering emails regarding the matter. Spirit has unfairly taken over 3,800.00 with out my consent out of my invoices that were owned to me.
I had a gas stove delivered and installed on November 27th, 2018. Hours after installation took place I smelled a heavy gas smell. I called *** who referred me to Spirit because it was an install issue. They sent a 2nd crew out a couple days later, this crew did absolutely nothing. Told me it was nothing and didn't even pull the stove out to check connection. I immediately called *** they came out ASAP confirmed there was indeed a gas leak because installer didn't properly connect on Nov 27th. That is 14 days straight of a gas leak that me and my family were breathing in. I called Spirit again they sent out a 3rd crew that fixed leak from gas connection but left a leak to stove which I could smell. I called gas company again they came out confirmed a second gas leak. Called Spirit and HD again they said a 4th crew had to be sent. 4th crew still did not fix problem called gas company a THIRD time and they came out confirmed gas leak again in the original hook up spot. Office manager Jennifer L and manager Thomas S were made aware of issue before 4th crew came out. After the 4th crew did it incorrectly Jennifer L told me they would pay for a plumber to hook up stove and include a $150 compensation. I sent the plumbers bill $150 and gas company reports to Jennifer on Dec 28th. Over a month later I have not gotten reimbursement or compensation and no updates or communication for them.
We waited for an appliance delivery that never came. We canceled all our plans on a Saturday (one of a very few days off), had our driveway plowed, bought an address sign for the end of our driveway, had our driveway graveled, shoveled the walkway, sanded the walkway, cleaned out our house, bought appliance connectors, and delayed doing our laundry in the expectation of a timely washer/dryer delivery. Not only did they not show, they never even called to say they were running late or unable to delivery the appliance. Worst delivery experience of my life.
I was supposed to have a dishwasher delivered that was ordered from ***. The first time they came out, they said it could not fit, made us sign a piece of paper, and quickly left. I called *** who confirmed that the dishwasher I currently had was the same as the new one I ordered. They then told us that our order was cancelled and we would have to reorder. We did that. Spirit Delivery came out a second time and those delivery guys said "yes it will definitely fit, I don't know why they told you it wouldn't." They get the dishwasher off the truck and it is damaged in multiple spots. The delivery guy calls their home office to get a confirmation number. He puts me on the phone with the woman at my request and I explain my frustration at the situation. She tells me there is nothing they can do for a damaged dishwasher but since they lied to me about the dishwasher not fitting the first time, she would be sending a $30 courtesy check and to give it 10 days. Well, it has been way over 10 days, and I still have not received anything. I tried calling their corporate number, left multiple voicemails on multiple extensions and no one ever picks up or calls back. I want to know where the $30 is and their employees need to be held accountable for their actions! Their reviews online are horrible and based off the comments, it looks like this crooked company's employees tend to use the excuse that the appliance won't fit when indeed it will!
This company is contracted to deliver large appliances by *** They have called to reschedule our original delivery date twice, and apparently have a history of stiffing other clients (reviews at ***). When they finally showed up (2 hours past the delivery window on the third date), the guys forgot the stacking piece for the washer/dryer, leaving the items sprawled across our basement. The company was supposed to send someone out three days later, but we never heard from them and there is no answer at any phone number I can track down. Nobody is accountable for our missing piece, they took our old washer/dryer, and left the new ones in an unusable state. We are at a loss as to how to proceed.
I purchase a refrigerator from *** who contracts delivery and installation to GEA/Delivery. The refrigerator is damaged because it wasn't installed incorrectly which was identified by a Samsung technician and two employees from GEA delivery and installation. I submitted a claim with Spirit and I have not heard from the company regarding my claim despite numerous phone message left. This is a time-consuming process which Home Depot needs to be involved more since they have a contract with this company
